The thicker card stock one you can fold the top part down but the thinner paper ones you are correct that isn't the best.

When Amazon Japan ships to the US, do they use DHL? If so, any customs fees involved?

Yes, DHL. I've never been charged custom fees on any of my AmazonJP orders.

I am considering buying directly from Plain Archive vs doing a group buy for the same title. Is there any reason to go with a group buy if I can buy the title directly?

Thanks for your reponse. Yes, I understand that point, which is why I added that I could buy it directly. If i can't buy it directly, a group buy is the way to go. Are there any other reasons to go with a group buy over a direct purchase?

You can go with a group buy if you want to spend more money and have someone to blame if it doesn't get to you right.

I usually trim the j-cards that came with the steelbooks and store them inside the steelbooks themselves.

Just curious, but anyone with a Boyhood or Looper Mondo Variant, what do you guys do with your numbered stickers? Do you peel them off and put them on the clear slipcover? Put them inside the steel? Or what?

I put my mondo num sticker on the bottom right corner of the clear slip on my Looper variant.

Ah thanks. Haven't bought a SB before, but this HAD to be the one, my favourite movie. Plus I'm a Nolan fanboy

Ridiculous that the Amazon version is double the price JUST for the J-Card!

The various American versions look better, the one with McConaghey in the snow and ice looks better imo.

Do different region SB tend to be differently formatted, in terms of audio compression, screen ratio's etc?

That is because it is sold out on amazon.de and that is being sold by a market place seller. I believe it would have been the standard approx. 20 euro price when it was available.

As for the formatting (someone can correct me if I am wrong) I believe that would be dependent upon the studio that is doing the conversion. Being that I believe this is a WW release by WB all the discs in the world should be the same.
