I love Death Becomes Her. Great actors, scenes both hilarious and disturbing (Meryl Streep's stair fall is priceless). Definitely day one buy for me

Can't say the same about Psycho IV tho

Looks like there was a German release of Death Becomes Her. This site says region free but Amazon.de says B so not sure about that. May be worth importing and the price is pretty good.

Amazon can't be trusted when it comes to region coding. They normally just say whatever region it's released in.

I'd watch it again if you get the chance because I don't think you're remembering it right. There's nothing serious about it at all, it's a cartoonish black comedy through & through. Streep's opening number sets the tone perfectly.

Yeah I'm more inclined to trust the region listing on this site. However, I saw this post in a thread about the disc.

Hopefully that's a good thing: maybe that means it's been licensed out by Shout Factory or somebody else for a U.S. release.

since were still talking 'death becomes her' just wanted to add 'she devil' to the mix - another great one with meryl and roseanne.

Even if Shout isn't able to land Death Becomes Her, I'm sure it's just a matter of time before Universal puts it out themselves. They've already released a couple of early '90s movies on BD this year (Dragon: Bruce Lee Story, Mobsters), so Death Becomes Her can't be too far behind.

Obviously, it won't have the extras that a CE from Shout would have, but it's better than nothing.

I'm hoping Arrow picks up Death Becomes Her and gives it the same kind of treatment they afforded to The 'Burbs. If not, then Shout would be the next best candidate for a decent BD release. I'm surprised this title has never gotten even a decent DVD release considering who's in it, but I think it's a title that deserves anything but a barebones release.

I'd love ANYTHING Elvira...but I've forgotten who own the rights to what.

It's a horrible transfer. Very drab colors. Looks like the same source as the DVD, but widescreen....

The German release of DEATH BECOMES HER is region free...I own it.........however the special features don't play properly on my panasonic player.

The transfer isn't that great...lots of video noise instead of a natural grain structure.....which is strange since Universal is notorious for whitewashing noisy grain...also no harsh digital sharpening.....but fun enough to hang onto until hopefully a remastered version hits the U.S.A.

They also put out Kull the Conqueror (which is awful).
