I want the main 6 Avengers, Quicksilver, Scarlett Witch, Vision, Guardians of the Galaxy, War Machine, Falcon, Coulson, Nick Fury, throw in Maria Hill as well since she appears to be working for Stark now. Dr. Strange, Captain Marvel, Black Panther some of the Inhumans. My money is down that they'll be introducing Adam Warlock in Guardians 2 and it would be stupid to make a movie on one of the Infinity stories and not have Warlock in there. I don't want to get my hopes up though because just paying every one of those actors is going to be bank. |

If memory serves, Disney produced Pirates 2 and 3 for like $500M. I would expect them to put that same level of financing behind this two parter.
Marvel is notoriously penny pinching, but they/Disney put the money up when it came to Avengers ($200M+ budget). |

I hope Whedon would at least write the scripts for Infinity War, but Markus and McFeely are great writers and they'll deliver a great script, I'm sure. |

Whedon thought it was a nightmare, in part, because Marvel is too controlling over the directors they have been hiring.
I think it's awful news that the Russo brothers have been hired for both Avengers Infinity Wars films. I thought their ability to direct action sequences in Captain America: Winter Solider was pretty disappointing. The movie was moderately entertaining but it could have been a lot better. I know I'm in the minority on this one but I'm not happy they have been hired for not only the next Captain America sequel but these as well. |

He has openly talked about his frustration with the Marvel universe (and Hollywood in general) for not having more female superheroes, and has discussed this in relation to Black Widow's role in the MCU. He has also said he is "done" after Avengers 2, and in a way that sounds like he wasn't completely happy with the experience, IMO. I do think he would consider coming back for more if he had felt the experience was even better working with Marvel. So many directors now have talked about how Marvel is difficult to work with that it must play some role for director's who like to have more creative say. I doubt he'll do more Marvel movies. I guess you never know. For a director who has worked in television and comics for so many years without ever saying goodbye completely, his recent statement about The Avengers certainly makes it sound like it had at least something to do with Marvel Studios. ... or he's completely happy with Marvel's input and the way they run things: http://www.theguardian.com/film/2015...l-infinity-war ![]() I don't know. ![]() Last edited by GenPion; 03-23-2015 at 09:15 PM. |

We have to remember, this is only his fourth film as director. And Serenity and Much Ado About Nothing are no where as big as Avengers. So I can understand why he would find something like Ultron to be a daunting task. And then to make two even bigger movies, back to back? I get why he'd pass that up. But he's done a lot of work with Marvel, like rewriting scenes for Thor: The Dark World and all that. I don't know about their working relationship, but I don't recall any instances where he hinted that he had a lot of friction with them. I would expect him to be Marvel's first choice for Captain Marvel, and I would expect him to consider the job, too. It's still a big movie, but nowhere near the behemoth the Avengers films must be to make. If he never works with Marvel again after Age of Ultron, you may have a point, but I think they'll continue to work together in the future. |
