How long does it usually take TT to ship a normal order (as in not a pre-order). My order of The Mechanic and Sleepless in Seattle has been pending for three days.

I don't know if it could even be considered a
"normal" order because of the sale. could take a bit longer to ship out. hard to say.

Usually they're much faster than three days on in-stock items, but they're not Amazon, they don't have a sweatshop filled with hundreds of timed employees who are fired if they don't move fast enough. If there's a huge sale where tons of people are placing much larger orders than normal they're going to get backed up.

Did SAE disable use of Paypal credit or something? I can't seem to use it as an option, while it works on most other paypal sites. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or what. It only lets me use bank transfers during the checkout process.

I do think Malcom Mcdowell plays a pretty good Flashman and I think it's worth a view ( Maybe a double feature with Criterion's Lola Montez ) but I don't know if it's worth more than one view unless you're a fan of the character who is quite a scallywag or Mr. Mcdowell.
I'll admit to not being that taken with the film the first time I saw it (as a supporting feature to Silver Streak, which made for an interesting theatre marquee) - maybe I was too young, maybe I was expecting something different - but I've found myself liking it more with each rewatch. It's true it lacks the books indices and so depends on some awareness of who the characters are and what mark they made on history (Bismarck's joke about rewriting the map of Europe at the end, for example), but taken on its own terms it works surprisingly well.

Yes, it's Norman Rossington doing a decent impersonation. Knowing Lester's love of improvising new dialogue in post-production (usually offscreen adlibs) I wouldn't be surprised if half his lines were changed and he wasn't available for the dubbing.

Ah, Florinda.... now there's a woman:

I've had that happen to me before and have to log out and log back in and the Paypal credit option will usually be available.
I placed an order Wednesday and was able to use Paypal credit.

Thanks! I guess it must have been something with Chrome cookies, I had to use Firefox (where none of my login info anywhere was saved) and log into everything as if it was the first time, and then it let me do it. Problem was apparently on my end somewhere.

I know you're not being that serious but I feel a heck of a lot worse about my wife's iPhone with regards to sweat-shop labor than I do my Amazon Prime account! One assumes since Amazon are in the U.S. at least those people are making minimum wage and have reasonable working conditions.

Man I hate Apple.

Sweatshop is actually only a minor exaggeration. Here's an article, I know it's hosted on a semi-reputable site but it's the most popular article on the subject and gives a good overview.

I lean to the left and definitely am troubled by some of the stuff mentioned there, but at the end of the day it's still nowhere near Mexican or Chinese sweatshop levels of gross. If my millions of Americans can own iPhones and appliances built in China then I doubt Amazon has much to worry about for a while.

Well, i have decided eventually on buying these:

3 will be blind buys:

- The Bounty: I think I'm going to like it, and it will deserve a purchase!
- Under Fire: I think I'm going to like it but i'll find out that it didn't deserve a purchase
- Zardoz: I fear that I'm doing wrong!!

I can see Zardoz being offered as an autographed freebie down the road. I would hate to spend $80 during the sale, then have nothing left to purchase to get one.

Jk. The site will crash, and I won't get one anyway.

Per FB this morning.

TT's next "signed copy" giveaway this Wednesday April 1st, at 4 pm EST, features the wonderful Dennis Christopher and BREAKING AWAY -- check in at SAE's news feed this morning for the usual details -- birthday promotion-priced items will be eligible, so here's a chance to really stock up on some of those gems you missed!

SO SO happy about this because Breaking Away was one of the titles I really wanted but was disappointed to see was not included in the birthday promotion.

Good news as I am NOT interested in this title . I already spent $300 in TT titles in the last month .

Good news for me, too, because I already bought it, so I won't be tempted to order more sale titles.
