Does anyone know if these steelbooks are G1 or G2 sized? They look G1 in the photo, but the photos of the back covers at Amazon.fr seem to be G2 sized.

What does VOST mean? It's under "Additional Information", under which says Blu-ray 1: (VOST)
"Gotham Uncovered: filming a scene ": Christopher Nolan and so reveal the team film manufacturing secrets (18 modules HD - 64'10" - VOST)

I googled the term and something about FORCED French Subtitles were mentioned. Will the subtitles be forced, in French, considering these are from Amazon France?

Will the menu's be in French too?

They should be G2. The ones I've seen on ebay all appear to be G2 sized, I have yet to see a G1 for these titles.

Comparison pics w/US, UK, and French editions:

Default Has there been any word on an Avengers: age of ultron Steelbook?

I expect Zavvi to have one...and they usually go live on the same day the movie releases in cinema.

Really no need for this to have it own thread...you should post this in a thread like this.

https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=255385

As for A:AoU, I am sure it is safe to say it will have a WWA release along with one or two WEA releases...nothing announced yet.

For lack of a better place to post this,

Has anyone on here bought (and received their purchase) from this guy??
http://www.ebay.com/sch/mrbluray/m.h...1&_ipg=&_from=

Only sells Blufans releases at pretty reasonable prices, but the 0 feedback and kind of strange listing practices has me spooked from buying from them.
(ie each listing says the item is opened, and the pictures shown are the actual item ... yet the pictures show the items all being sealed)
and the thing about 'ships in 3-5 days' but the eBay alert says they all are longer than 45 days

Does eBay work with Paypal then if someone turns out to be a scam to help you get your money back then ??

I haven't bought on eBay but probably have to resort to doing so now to pick up a lot of releases I missed, and just want to make sure they cover you so long as you pay with Paypal

I have not purchased from him and if I was in your shoes I would be suspicious too.

If you decide to go through with it, you could try to fall back on these parts of Paypal's purchase protection statement:

Quote:
You're Protected if:

1. Your order never arrives
All you have to do is log in to your account and open a dispute to get the refund process started. And if you made the purchase on eBay, start here instead.

2. Your order arrives, but it's significantly different than it was described
There are a variety of scenarios that meet this condition, for instance:
  • You received a completely different item.
Example: You purchased a book, but received a DVD.
  • The item is missing parts or features, and this was not disclosed.
Example: The listing said batteries included - but they weren't.
  • You purchased a specific quantity of an item - but received the wrong amount.
Example: You purchased five pairs of fuzzy dice, but only received four.
  • The item was damaged en route to its destination.
Example: You bought a beautiful antique lamp - and it arrived in pieces.
  • You received a counterfeit version of the item.
Example: You purchased a Rolex but received a Faux-Lex.
That is, if you could prove to Paypal that it is indeed a counterfeit. It would probably require many back-and-forth emails and comparison pictures plus 10+ days of waiting to see if they rule in your favor.

I'm all out of "Thanks" but thank you for the response Appreciate it

Just so long as Paypal/eBay do end up reimbursing you for lost funds if you win an auction and the item never comes or something like that...

Idk, just seems strange that he's sold some stuff in the last couple weeks and not one person has left feedback (either for/against) and the items are pretty reasonable. Joined eBay in March from the looks of it.
The pictures from item to item are all different numbers and things so it's not like he's just relisting the same item with the same images, so that works in his favor but someone did PM me privately after this post was made and said they're a bit leery of him now as well as they won an auction recently from him and were messaged immediately after asking when the payment was coming..

IDK whether to take that in a way or just a barrier difference or something

Happy to help. The "no feedback" is strange though.

If he takes your money and never ships it, it's typically a quick case if he can't provide a valid tracking number. You will still be out the money while you wait to get it resolved.

It could also be that he doesn't have all of them in hand yet? So that's why he's insisting people pay before he picks them up? Idk... this is one of those cases where a track record of positive feedback would be helpful.

Yeah that's what weirds me out a bit.
Like I started a selling account on Amazon, and within days sold my first thing (under-value) just so I could get a feedback score .. maybe it's just me but no feedback is just a red flag, especially if they've been selling for a month now. (but then I think, if it was scamming going on, he'd surely have negative feedback?! maybe the people are just lazy and not leaving any for positive transactions? )

Ok good to know; so long as they give the money back it's no worry.

Why do people who have been collecting steelbooks for years, suddenly drop everything and say "I'm getting out of collecting, and selling off my steelbooks"? What causes them to change their mind?

Most likely, they won't get back what they paid for (unless they happen to have one of the 'holy grails') So why do it? Why sell off your collection?

Maybe they kicked the habit. I'm not gonna lie, steelbooks are almost as addicting as cigs. Also, you won't necessarily lose money. There are plenty of steels out there that if kept sealed are 2x if not more than what people paid for them.

Default Marvel Steels, Play/Zavvi.com vs Kimchi/Novamedia/Blufans?

Hi all,

I currently own all the original UK releases of the MCU films being Iron man 1/2/3, Thor HMV/Thor Dark world/ Captain America HMV/Captain America Winter Soldier Zavvi, Incredible Hulk, Avengers HMV/Avengers Zavvi and Guardians of the Galaxy Zavvi.

Ive recently discovered how awesome some of the previous novamedia, kimchi and blu fans releases as are the upcoming ones are.

Im considering double dipping on these releases but as you can all imagine, alot of very hard to come by and very expensive, so I want to ask, is it worth getting rid of my originals for the Asian releases as they'd fetch a good amount towards the new ones or double dipping?

Which Asian versions should I go for, I currently just got in on the GB for Guardians and have the Kimchi Iron man lenticular steel coming, really want the Thor Dark world kimchi lenticular, as well as the Captain america and Thor blufans. What do you guys think?
