Also. What are your thoughts on this movie.
I have not seen it yet. And have heard things both ways on it.
Amazing. Over rated.

Probably the reason I am willing to buy it having not seen it.
Is cause it is by Philip K. Dick.
And I really like his other films.
A Scanner Darkly.
Fear and Loathing Los Vegas.

Anyways. Had it in my hand today at Borders and decided I would wait on that (though I did get Dog Day Afternoon, and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang[, and a book but who on here cares bout books?])

So anyways. To cut to the chase. Whats the difference in editions. And what are you thoughts on this film.
1. Complete Collector's Edition -- This edition houses 5 discs in a single case. The first disc is the 2007 "Final Cut" edition of the film. The second disc is a feature-length documentary called "Dangerous Days: Making Blade Runner", which explains (in detail) the making of the film, from casting to re-releases, etc. The third disc has three archival versions of Blade Runner (the 1982 Theatrical Cut, the 1982 International Theatrical Cut, and the 1992 Director's Cut). The fourth disc is a supplemental disc, with trailers, deleted scenes, promotional featurettes, etc. And the fifth disc is the rarely-seen Workprint edition of the film.

2. Ultimate Collector's Edition -- This edition has everything that the Complete Collector's Edition has, plus a few more goodies all housed inside a very unique Deckard briefcase packaging, which has a handle on the briefcase to complete the tech-noir look. The extra goodies inside said briefcase (along with the 5 Blu-ray discs) include: 8 still reproductions on an oversized card stock, several limited lenticular images from the film, miniature replicas of the "spinner" that Deckard (Harrison Ford) pilots in the movie and Gaff's (Edward James Olmos) origami of a unicorn, and a signed letter by director Ridley Scott complete with a small conceptual art he made during production.

As far as my thoughts of the film goes, Blade Runner was - and still is - science fiction at its finest! Next to Star Wars and Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Blade Runner is a classic in its own right! And as far as the different versions of the film goes, my favorite version of Blade Runner is the 1982 Theatrical Cut of the film, because that particular version is the one that I'm used to seeing the most. However, I finished watching the Final Cut version a few days ago, and I liked it even more than the Director's Cut! So there you have it, psychofire. My two favorite versions of the film are the 1982 Theatrical Cut and the Final Cut. And when it comes to choosing one of these two collector's editions of Blade Runner, not only is it a no-brainer, but it's also a win-win situation when adding this classic to your Blu-ray collection! Good luck, man!
