Do you see a response to your question?

I know you've been told this numerous times, but you're not doing yourself any favors behaving this way. In case you haven't noticed, people don't generally fall all over themselves trying to help someone who's demanding, impatient, and ungrateful.

Correct, besides the original Artisan/Live release, it was included on the International Pal DVD release from Sony and the best one being the Japanese release from Pioneer, which features the CDS mix in full bitrate DTS. The mix was actually quite common, till the longer cut came to DVD and for obvious reasons it disappeared.

Well with my new Sony BDP-S7200 my Skynet Edition loads a hell of a lot faster. My old player almost took 5 minutes to load.

It'll probably be a while before we see a 4K remaster of T2 since Cameron is knee-deep in the Avatar sequels at the moment.

Although, I'm not sure how involved he was in the overall process; whether he sat in during the processing stages, or if he was just sent a few release candidates and picked one. Maybe somewhere in-between. I'm sure though that Lionsgate want him to be involved in some capacity though, and that's probably not gonna happen right now.

When it comes out though, I'll be all over that since I know the movie can look better than it does.

I was surprised when I checked it to be honest. BD Live was on as well!

The menu for this disc is just horrible, worst ever?

It is pretty bad. Its like they went out of their way to make it as cheap as possible. The menu on the Skynet Edition was better.

According to insiders he just has to approve the new masters, but he takes literally years to do so.

Masters have been approved. The Abyss has been airing on TV for the past year. It has nothing to do with Cameron.

Only going by what I read. Have seen it said several times Cameron sat on The Abyss remaster for years without approving it. Maybe that was before he finally did.

Also no one can convince me Fox wouldn't quickly pump these out to BD if it was 100% their decision.

No, you're wrong. It absolutely does. A master doesn't need to be approved for TV. It does, however, for a release that people will purchase. Cameron is dragging his feet.

That makes no sense. People still have to purchase the programming to watch it on TV. Cameron must approve any new master, it's in the contract for every one of his movies. I'm fairly certain that the contract doesn't state specifically VHS, DVD, Blu, etc. Just any new master before it's released.

Cameron pointed directly to the head of Fox home entertainment and said ask him when asked about the Abyss on Blu. How much more clear can he be? It has nothing to do with him.

I'm not talking about the Abyss. However, I know FOR A FACT that T2 is waiting on his approval. He's dragging his feet.

I was talking about The Abyss and True Lies. I know Terminator 2 has been scanned at 4K already, but not sure if the restoration has been completed. Do you know if he's proceeding with 3D conversion?

T2 maybe, but I recall at the 30th Anniversary screening of The Terminator, he pointed to some Fox Home Video exec when asked about The Abyss and True Lies. I'm pretty sure that's one of the digital featurettes on that new Blu-ray release if anyone watched it.

That "ask him" point could literally mean anything from "they don't want to release it until Avatar 2 comes out" all the way to "they won't give me ten million dollars to redo effects and supervise the transfer." You can't take the blame off Cameron because he pointed at someone. We have no real idea what the holdup is.

Even then, I can only find the theatrical (gutted) cut...
