Well I certainly like what I'm hearing. Then again, it is Giacchino, so that's pretty much standard.

Beautiful. But I refrained from listening to the final track for obvious reasons!

I keep hearing this about Men in Black but still haven't seen the third movie. I kind of don't want to consider 2 a thing that happened, which liking 3 would necessitate.

I have a feeling this movie will ignore the previous sequels. Not saying they aren't canon, but more that they're just not significant enough to be mentioned either way.

The movie seems to be receiving good reviews from those who were at the premier.

And this is why you should NEVER number your sequels, so that you can skip the ones you don't like and not having to think about what came before.

For example, I consider Die Hard 2 to be... well, kinda crap, and I don't ever plan on seeing 4 and 5 again because they're also kinda crap, BUT Die Hard and Die Hard with a Vengeance are both GREAT, and I can watch both without even thinking "Where's part 2?", because for me, With a Vengeance IS part 2, and that's also where the series ended for me.

If by some miracle JW turns out to be great, and free from references to TLW and JP3, then it just might find itself onto my shelf and I'll consider it "part 2"...

Who gives a crap if a franchise entry has call backs to earlier entries. I wandered into the Fast and Furious franchise with part 5 and had no issues at all following along. I never felt that I needed to go back and watch the previous movies to understand what was happening.

I only own 5 and 6 from the series and don't feel a pressing need to own any of the others.

As long as JW is good, I don't care if it references the previous movies, the video games or any other bit of the franchise. If it's bad then I will be upset.

Yeah. I own Die Hard 2 because it's a fun nostalgia trip, but if there were a Die Hard "canon" it would be just the original and Vengeance. I like the JP sequels because DINOSAURS but it would be great if this film didn't really mention them, so if it's great we can see it as a "canon" two parter.

I think pretty much every movie should stand completely on its own, across the board, honestly.

I think this is going to be my Guardians of the Galaxy this year, the movie I think is a terrible idea when I first hear about it and then come completely around on it before it comes out. Bit ironic that Chris Pratt is in both of them.

In spite of whether Jurassic World will be good or bad, stupid or amazingly fun, CGIed all to hell or wonderfully practical; the fact that a new JP movie is coming out in the summer is extremely exciting. Looking forward to next week.

Went to Best Buy for their exclusive sneak-peek. And it has been confirmed that
[Show spoiler]the I-Rex does indeed have camouflage abilities

Also was given this awesome "park map" as an added bonus:

But awesome that they are giving away that map.

You should give MIBł a try. It really digs into the lead characters and their relationship deeper, I din't expect that. Made me wanna watch the original again.

Just a week to go. My 3-year-old now really have deep attention to movies, he will scream "no, no run away!" when a character is in danger. Kinda proud of him about that as far as his interest to movies like his old man but not sure if I want to bring him to the theater for this.

MIBł is on par with the original and I like it because of its characters and the way it ties loose ends!

That would be interesting. Also: how they managed to cover up the disaster of the first park because let's face it: nobody would go to Jurassic World if they knew that when they tested the original park, they accidentally let a T-Rex loose.

Men In Black 3 is great. The ending does kind of retcon the relationship between K and J but it doesn't ignore the previous two movies. You don't need to have seen Men In Black 2 to watch it, though. The events are pretty much standalone but the other two films did happen.
