Ramsay's attack on Stannis feels like a made-for-TV thing to give the story a "climax" for the finale. I'm guessing we're not getting the siege this season.

Just watched the Sam/Olly scene again and noticed what I think is more foreshadowing. Sam said to him, "Sometimes a man has to make hard choices. Choices that might look wrong to others, but you know are right, in the long run." I think that just might reinforce the idea that "For the Watch" is what Olly thinks is right, even if it looks wrong to others.

Season 6, probably. It looks like with the casting of Euron for Season 6 that the ironborn story will be told then.

I'm at a loss as to how Benioff & Weiss plan to finish the series off in seven seasons while still introducing stuff next year like the Ironborn & Riverlands stories.

Did they really say seven seasons? The idea of this show only going on for two more years is very depressing. It's like LOST all over again.

They won't change. We might get an extended final season(though I don't know how that would be possible considering production on a ten episode season takes all year).

But since every season had 10 eps then if they do 10+ in s7 then they are changing it.

It's not like they haven't done that before. The Sopranos had a double-length final season with the second half airing a year after the first half. And before that, Oz had a double-length season (though it wasn't the final season) with a gap of half a year between the first and second halves.

At any rate, I don't think the 7-season plan for Game of Thrones is carved into stone. There had been rumors a season or two back that it might go nine seasons.

Benioff and Weiss have said numerous times now that it will be 7 seasons. I highly doubt at this point that they would change their minds. They've said before that they don't plan on stretching the show out past where it should end.
