Death Race - Blu-ray Forum

Saw this, today. Plenty of action, nice effects, a decent amount of gore and a whole lot of fun. Don't listen to the nay-sayers! And for people who enjoy these kind of over-the-top action movies, they trailered the new Fast and the Furious before Death Race. I was the only person in the theater who geeked out...

Death race looks TERRIBLE.

Well Doomsday is at least entertaining and the end kick ass.... wanna see the worst crap ever : Starship trooper 3...

I made it a whole 15 minutes into Starship Troopers 3 before I just had to shut it off... I even checked to see if Uwe Boll directed it, it was that bad.

+1 I like those type of movies. Its not good to criticize movies b/c most movies won't be a box office hit or anything like that.

I agree with you. I am sure that I will enjoy watching Death Race, even if it is not "a good movie". I even liked and own the first one (DVD), as bad and corny as it is.

Universal was the studio who released this movie so it will be getting the 5.1 DTS-HD MA. The rumor date right now is Dec. 23rd.

And gotta confess, the campy day-glo theme-villain "cross-country Gran Prix" half of Speed Racer felt a lot more like a true updated "Death Race 2000" remake than this humorless overreaching poseur...
Lionsgate needs to start taking themselves less seriously, and start getting the heck over said object, to boot.

I probably wanna see it for that reason alone. Watch the FF trailer than either walk out or stay for a decent action picture.
