I saw it Saturday night. Great film; maybe one of the best that Pixar has ever done. But man. There was already a tear in the print; the film jumped at one point. And some dirt was evident already...but the movie itself was great, with a short in front. Great job.

This is the reason why if you have a theater that plays it in digital cinema, you should get tickets for those. Or Imax. 3D helps too!

Unfortunately this is not an IMAX theatrical movie. The next IMAX theatrical movie will be Harry Potter, which will have the full 20min finale in 3D!!! Sweet!

This beats Superman Returns way distracting way of taking on and off the glasses by a mile...

That was your theater, though. This movie, is of course, direct-to-digital format, so no chance of any issues cropping up like that, except for an individual theater here and there.

It would be quite a tall order for Ratatouille to match the 100% thumbs up on rottentomatoes for over 100 reviews that Toy Story 2 got, but at the moment (with just 5 reviews though) Ratatouille's average is higher. Toy Story 2 had 105 thumbs up to zero thumbs down with an 8.5/10 average. Ratatouille is currently at 5 thumbs up to zero thumbs down with a 9.2/10 average. For reference, here are some others:

Monsters Inc.: 135 thumbs up to 8 thumbs down (94%) with a 7.8/10 average.
Finding Nemo: 179 thumbs up to 4 thumbs down (98%) with an 8.6/10 average.
The Incredibles: 205 thumbs up to 7 thumbs down (97%) with an 8.2/10 average.
Cars: 136 thumbs up to 43 thumbs down (76%) with a 6.9/10 average.

What are you talking about? As in, when it comes out on disc, it will be digital to digital, I'm sure. And there are theaters with all digital, yes. But for the most part, this film will be shown on film, in most theaters. Sad to say.

I've never seen a digital showing so I can't speak to digital projection. After living with Blu-ray since Jan. one thing is obvious to me. I'm never going to see 'film' at a theater that looks as good as what I get at home. I know that shouldn't be the case but I guess there are just too many variables involved with projecting film in a theater. After watching this all could think about was how much better it's going to look on BD.

Really nice movie. Keep your mind open. This isn't typical animated family fare.

yeah....just wait...when you finally go see a movie at a non-digital theater, your eye will pick it apart...i hadnt been to a theater in a couple months and was watching a lot of blu-rays....went to see pirates 3 in a DLP theater...looked great....then went to see pirates again in a non-digital theater and thought it looked horrible

Like IMAX, this one is not on the list of DLP Movies either, so if you do see it in a DLP equipped theater, it will be on film projected from a DLP projector. You'd be better off just seeing it in a regular theater.

You talking about the 3-D or Clark Kent?
