The same could be said for Christine,Body Double, Oliver,Fright Night and others.
I have at least 5 titles released by Twilight Time that I purchased from other countries for less than half the TT price and there are others out there that I've not purchased.
I see no reason why a throwaway action film like 10 to Midnight won't get released elsewhere at usual prices.

Yes , there are certain titles I don't mind paying TT prices for but these are special films like the Ray Harryhausen films and some others.
I buy special editions often but again they are usually special films or movies with a place in my heart.

As much as I enjoy 10 to Midnight( and many of Bronsons other movies) it's a nothing film - as in nothing special so it would be $15 max.
Scream and Scream Again on the other hand will be a pre-order.

Yeah this movie is so kick ass! I only pull the trigger on my absolute favorites with TT and consider this bullet fired!

Never said it won't get released anywhere else, but waiting or hoping for it just to save a few bucks? No way. Besides, several of those titles you mentioned that has been released elsewhere, aren't those bare bones compared to the Twilight Time releases?

Some don't include the isolated scores - others are the same as the TT versions.
Oliver was released in the UK for Ģ8 months before the TT version.

Not really anything to do with saving a few bucks.
I buy TT titles occasionally but as with every single Bluray I buy , TT or not it has a price I'm willing to pay.
UK releases from Studio Canal are always over priced so I wait for reductions which don't come around often but there of course certain titles that one is prepared to remortgage the house if necessary ( slight exaggeration but you get my point).

I'd be prepared to pay TT prices for an uncut Death Wish 2 but that's probably more to do with the history of the film than it's actual content.

10 to Midnight is one in a long line of Bronson movies that I enjoy but TT prices are just more than I want to pay for them. For me at least , it's a throwaway action movie that is a clone of so many others only salvaged by the appearance of Bronson and while I will likely have it on Blu at some point those kind of movies are within a certain price range before I buy them.

I'm surprised at TT for licencing it really. In comparison to most of their catalogue it seems so ordinary.
Not slating the film at all - I enjoy it for what it is but it's just not one of the movies I'd pay TT prices for.
It's a bit like them releasing Commando. Enjoyable tosh but would you pay $30 for it? Sort of titles I end up getting once they reach an Amazon 3 Blurays for Ģ15 kind of deal.

Scream and Scream again should be great and I'd go for Mysterious Island too if I didn't already have it.

To be fair, it's more than just a few bucks.

TT titles are grossly overpriced.

I wouldn't 'underguesstimate' the appeal of this particular Bronson film. It's lurid horror elements are something quite different than most other Bronson films, if not all other Bronson films, and we all know how passionate horror fans can be. I like Bronson like everyone else, but this particular film does stand out quite a bit from his usual action fare, maybe not in quality, but definitely in the sleaze-horror aspects. Worth $30? You betcha!

one could always play the waiting game and see if it's still available when Twilight has their yearly sale. I did that with THE MECHANIC and got it for $20. I paid the full amount for HARD TIMES however, because it's one of my favorites. I do not consider 10 TO MIDNIGHT to be a run of the mill, ordinary thriller... it's actually a pretty awesome flick and it's one that I will pay the big bucks for when it's released...

Pretty much.

I own 5 or so TT titles, but if they weren't $35 a piece I would own a lot more of them. I basically only get the absolute must-haves. It's doubly annoying that they're most expensive label by far yet aren't anywhere near as deluxe or high in quality as an Arrow or Criterion release.

Twilight announced on their facebook account that they plan to release at least 2 or 3 Bronson movies in 2016.

I hope for "The Evil that Men Do" because I already have "Breakout" and "The Stone Killer" from I Tunes US in 1080p.

Why be so hard on people trying to save some money, no matter how much it is? Is it so inconceivable to you that some of us may not have the same priorities or disposable income as you have? I could understand your perspective if this title was close to selling out and people were choosing to wait, but at this point there's nothing wrong with holding out for a cheaper alternative. No one is telling YOU not to buy it from it from TT.

Yes I would agree that of all the Bronson action movies this one does have a little something extra to make it standout from the rest but still not enough to make me pay $30 although I might get The Evil that Men Do at that price.
Horses for courses I guess

As I said in my earlier post my reluctance is nothing to do with saving money. Only this week I've "wasted" over Ģ100 on several Blurays so not buying 10 to Midnight isn't to do with not having the money to buy it, it's all to do with how much I feel a film is worth.

Although most agree 10 to Midnight is a bit different to some of the run of the mill Bronson movies it's not special enough for me to pay $30.

I have hundreds of dvd's of movies that are out on Bluray but I won't buy them unless they reach the price point I think they're worth. I've bought dozens in the Amazon multi buy sales.
Obviously some I'm happy to pay TT prices for or even more for an Arrow Limited Edition or other non standard release but I rarely have to budget for Blurays - I just buy the titles I want as they come out or as in the case of Studio Canal I buy a few as new releases but most I wait simply because to me personally some films are just not worth the money.

On the flipside, I've been enjoying a great many movies that I never bought on dvd ( or didn't get released on dvd) that I see good reviews for and they reach a price point too low to refuse but this does then risk the problem of buying things simply because they are cheap.

Dick Van Dyke on Bluray for example - I was never a great fan , enjoyed the odd episode decades ago but would never dream of paying $150 for it on Bluray. Last Xmas Amazon Canada had it for $25. Seemed rude not to buy it.
Even to the UK it was a bargain - but it remains sealed to this day.

I'm sure every collector has a price point for every title they buy but it's unfortunate that compared to general pricing TT have placed themselves in the position that people will usually only buy their discs if they are firm favourites. No casual or impulse purchases at those prices - but it works for TT and the releases I have of theirs are excellent so long may they continue.

I do agree TT is a racket to some extent and I agree with this post 100%.

However, I also know that disc media is going to be getting more and more niche, and people who won't pay $30 for a movie are going to have a rougher and rougher time of things as it goes on. The Twilight Time model is going to be more and more the norm in the future.

Itīs a Tri-Star film. Maybe Twilight could do something in terms of rights.
