Im with you, but I seldom go that route anymore. The reason for this is not that I prefer online now, but rather going to stores has become the definitive hassle in buying movies I love... Unless it's something extremely mainstream that had a crazy huge budget. Most of the time stores just don't carry enough to warrant me seeing an empty shelf after I get out of work, or they straight up don't carry what I want. Amazon has served me quite well with very little hassle at all.

yeah,I agree. I liked browsing at stores back in the day and finding stuff I didn't realize I wanted, but it's such a pain nowadays

And not only because of poor stock... But also because stores no longer care to make it easy for me to browse. This dvds mixed in with bluray shit is for the birds. Walmart, Best Buy, and even FYE do it now. That's the worst, and everyone at retail - except for Target - has adopted this floor model.

Target does mix dvd with blu-rays. Yes they still have we still have sections where they are not mixed, but every genre and the new releases are mixed.

As annoying as mixing releases is, I'll happily dig through piles of Shit if it means the store has it in stock. I'd prefer huge sections lined with movies separated by genre and by disc type, but if dumping them all in a big pile in the middle of the store means I can walk in and purchase what I want, I'll happily bring my own shovel. I can't buy what's not there, and what's not there right now is 95% of the movies I'm practically begging stores to carry.

I still refuse to believe that "DVD and Blu Ray sales are down". Of course they're down compared to the last few years, all stores carry 1/10th the product that they used to.

FYE is the worst when it comes to mixing DVD and Blu-Ray.
It wouldn't be so bad if they actually maintained it and didn't put the Used in with it!
Also, Genre' Splitting needs to go away and just be #-Z again!

Not out of print, but it is funny that the set seems to go out of stock quite often. It went "temporarily out of stock" right after I bought it and now it's again down to "one left, order soon" on Amazon. It must be selling pretty well.

I hope Lionsgate follow it up with other horror classics.

it's usually fairly accurate. I bet they just didn't order a lot of copies and wait till they're low in stock to re-order... probably not an ENORMOUS seller for them so they carry low margins on stock

Keep hoping then lol. From the stories I keep hearing it's likely to not show up in your store again. People keep saying they get a couple of releases for small movies like these and that's it.
Just grab it online.

Why is it so bad? It makes more sense having the DVD version next to the Blu Ray version... plus Best Buys movie planogram is in alphabetical order, and divided by genre. You're looking for Star Trek? Check the "S" section of the action inline. Simple as that. I'm not attacking/insulting you brother, it's just my two cents.

I agree, and that's how my local Best Buy handles it. That's how I manage my collection too, everything together in alphabetical order.

It's funny how many UK imports I get that are Lionsgate here in the states and haven't been released yet. If it weren't for Lionsgate I probably wouldn't have gone region-free.
