cannot get dts hd to decode on my sony str-dg820 reciever

Umm...sorry to hijack this thread but ive got a question. ive been thinking about upgrading my HT and i was going to buy the reciever in question, the Sony STR DG820, and connecting my exsisting speakers from my sony DAV DZ410 home cinema system to it, as i cant afford to upgrade my speakers yet

My question is basically... am i just wasting my time are my speakers good enough to connect to the 820? and will i notice a big differance from my current system? Thanks.

those speakers are 3ohm and intended for use with that particular sound system.

I would not advise using them with the 820.

Hmm thats disapointing... ok thanks crackinhedz looks like i'll have to save up for a bit longer and upgrade my speakers too
