Got one. Waited in line for 5 minutes before they opened, walked in and the shipper was right at the front. Two guys were ahead of me, and one in the back. First guy picks up 2, second guy gets one or two, I get one, and the guy behind me grabs 2....AND THAT WAS ALL THEY HAD. Crazy. It was on the top left of the display in the front, none in the back of the shipper, and none where all the new release sections were, so I feel pretty lucky! I saw one guy come in like 5 minutes later and he was searching everywhere for one, behind everything, I felt bad lol.

This was my first time doing something like this for a bluray release haha.

The clip thing is almost never an issue, but it happens sometimes. I'll take a clip issue than a spine slash any day!

Damn scalpers got them selling for $40 on ebay, and lots of people are buying it at that price. Seems like a Thor 2 steelbook situation again.

This is looking decidedly worrysome.

I wanted the SteelBook specifically due to the nature of the movie.

It's about harsh metal doing battle against harsh metal, and standard Blu-ray packaging really does nothing for the movie.

We'll see what happens ...

Caved and managed to snag a Steelbook copy after calling a few stores around me and finding a very nice rep who set one aside for me. Turns out someone had 2 copies ordered for pickup but cancelled one, so I got that. Was able to inspect both and got one that appears to be mint

Now I'll just have to keep an eye on eBay for a 3D disc that goes cheap.

I Gotta admit, it was fun not knowing if I'd get one or not. Luckily I got off work 2 hours before they opened, so I said why not go for it!

Hahaha yeah, its hysterical now that he thinks anyone would even buy it

He probably saw the posts about being identified by his clothes and thought he may miss out on future scalping ... better raise the prices now! How else to earn a living otherwise

If the others sell out first he will sell his. There will be those that desperate always. I myself paid high prices for a few Steels, but I, most likely stupidly, rationalize that these were foreign imports and much rarer than a Steel in the States should be. I guarantee he'll sell them if the others go and nobody else posts.

I was able to get my Target Big Hero 6 Steel, which now sadly has a scratch on the back

, later on during release day because it came back in stock at my store and I ordered it online for pickup. Target seems to know what they're doing at the very least.

Damn shame we have to shop among these folks.

Shipping it to the house was an option for me, but I was scared the packaging they use would've been awful. Good to know that they packaged it properly for this release.
