Outbreak - Blu-ray Forum

just got Outbreak from netflix...terrible picture quality. Very blurry and fuzzy background images. Probably one of the worst transfers I have seen actually.

AS for the disc...theres no menu and no special features. So skip this blu-ray if you can. What do you guys think?

ummmm, the menus is the way that WB does ALL of their movies, only a popup menu. As for Extras these are there "budget wave titles". Aka for the low price that they are selling for in store you can't expect much more. And have you seen the outbreak DVD??? the BD is not Transformers PQ but it's definitely a good solid improvement over the artifact ridden DVD

Yes that is true. But for blu-ray I was expecting more

It was an alright movie, i just saw it for the first time today.

I thought the PQ looked great on my projector. Some of the background images are a bit blurry but the colors are vibrant.

I wanna see it but Blockbuster and Hollywood don't carry it as a rental. Netflix has it but I'm not switching companies.

OMG. You guys are ridiculous! I mean it is only $15 and you get TrueHD audio and great picture quality. I have watched the standard DVD many times and this transfer BLOWS the DVD out of the water. I mean sure, there are no special features, but I NEVER watch them anyways. Not even for Transformers. Quite possibly I will only glance at them for Indy 4 and Dark Knight. Its a bargain bin Blu-ray, the equivilent of a $5 DVD from the bargain bin at Wal-mart... There is no reason to expect anything more than what you got.

No menues and no extras is fine with me for $15. I rarely watch the extras and could care less about the menues. As far as PQ, this is a 10 year old movie that had a horrible presentation on DVD the first time around. I encourage other studios to sit up and take notice. I would buy a lot more Blu's if they were $15 and lacked the menues and extras!

I want the movie with excellent PQ and AQ...That's all I need!

I have it coming from Netflix as I most definitely wanted to rent it first as one never knows with catalog titles.

If the quality is good enough, I'll buy it as I like this movie.
