Spanish discs are often bootlegs, so it quite possibly is the exact same transfer/encode. Will be curious to hear, though!

Spain. The label Llamentol sells tons of bootlegs ripped from legit releases. Another label called Resen does the same.

Last US company to release it was Media Blasters on DVD, but it's OOP and the rights have likely reverted back to Toho.

Along with the Mysterians, Latitude Zero, Frankenstein Conquers the World, and others without Godzilla or Mothra. I wish I'd bought them all when they were under $20.

Wasn't aware of that. I guess I'll keep my eyes peeled whenever I look again on Amazon Spain. I guess it's good thing I ordered it when I did. The prices jumped up on them since the weekend. I ordered the main BD only release and it was 9.99 Euro.

I actually found Latitude Zero, Atragon, and Dogora in the dealer's room at A-Kon this past June. They were $22, $17, and $19. Now I just need Frankenstein vs Baragon, Yamato Takeru, and Space Amoeba.

Ok, I got the disc today from Amazon ES. It is indeed a BD-R. It does not and I repeat, does not contain the American cut with Raymond Burr as advertised. However, it is the Japanese version of the film. It is not the Criterion HD master, however, it looks like the HD master made by Toho which seems to be used everywhere else in the world.

When I tried to put the disc in my Insignia NS-WBRDVD2, it spit it out. For some reason, my player straight up hates BD-R discs. I've burned many family videos to BD-R as well as the 2D HD master to Traumatic Possession 3D: The Tape and it won't play them. So, I am assuming it's region free. I did pop it in my PS3, however, there is PAL formatted video files included which is the Studio/Copyright and the Menu. So, even in my PS3, it won't work.

I did feed it into my comp to get the data information. The movie is 20.481 GB in size. And I take screen caps. For your pleasure, enjoy.

No, problem. It was only like $10, so it wasn't like it was a big loss. I am looking forward to getting the rest of the German Blu-rays. I still need to get my hands on Godzilla, Godzilla Vs Mechagodzilla II, Godzilla Vs Destoroyah, Godzilla 2000: Millennium, Godzilla X Megaguirus, Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla, Godzilla: Tokyo S.O.S, and Godzilla: Final Wars. And of course, the French double feature of Godzilla and Godzilla Raids Again.

So the Alamo Drafthouse's double feature for Monster Zero and War of the Gargantuas has come and gone. Here is a quick video I did with some of my friends on just some basics thoughts. Also, I learned NOT to film outside. I fixed the audio as best I could, but it is still pretty blah.

Next time you record outside, a shotgun mic with a windsock would be a good idea.

Yeah, unless you have professional film equipment, filming outside is a big no-no. However, I love me some War of the Gargantuas. I have half of the movie on Super 8mm. It was from a badly damaged print that I got off a seller on eBay.

You've probably posted them before and I just missed it, but do you have pictures of your Godzilla/Toho collection (not just discs)? You must have a TON of stuff!

I don't own one. I wasn't really planning on filming outside, but the lobby of the theater was so loud the audio would have been just as bad, if not worse.

Not a ton of stuff. But, I have bought a few modest things here and there throughout the years. My Blu-ray count isn't up to date on here. I have all the U.S. Godzilla BD's except Godzilla Vs Gigan. I still need it. Then I have the German BD's of Godzilla Raids Again; Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster; Godzilla Vs Spacegodzilla; and GMK. I have the Spanish BD-R release of Gojira and then I have the Italian steelbook of the 2014 American Godzilla.

I have most of the films on DVD. I imported a bunch of them from Thailand which had the original Japanese versions and learned how to sync subtitles and such. In terms of other Toho films, I have all the Classic Media stuff and then some of the other oddies, like the Japanese Ring films and Parasite Eve.

This is on my bedroom wall besides the bed. It's the video store poster along with original double sided theatrical originals for the teaser and final posters for the 2014 film.

This is a poor quality shot. It was back in 2006 when I got it when I was living in Hawai'i. It's Japanese theatrical poster for GMK.

This one of my favorites that I got back at the beginning of the year, a German theatrical Godzilla Vs Mechagodzilla poster.

For celluloid stuff, I have the two digest reels of Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster, which I telecined and it's about 23 minutes. And then the damaged German Super 8mm prints which I got off a seller on eBay for Godzilla Vs Gigan and War of the Gargantuas, both are about 45 minutes each. They are both faded red. I haven't a full chance to view WotG as it was placed on an 800 ft reel whereas my projector only does 400 ft.

And I have a few Bandai figures from the mid-2000's that I kept in the packaging that are going around $50 to $75. Kinda crazy that those things went up so high in such a short time.

Um...you hilariously misspelled August's last name as Rogane in your closing credits. Might wanna fix that. :-)

Probably been discussed a lot, but what are the regulars in this thread thought of the 2014 Godzilla movie?
