Default Wall•E Buy n Large Master Thread

Just saw the Wall-E blu-ray trailer on The Nightmare Before Christmas and it looks amazing. Even though I watched it online and could not get into it, this is one blu-ray I may buy just for demo material and who knows I may actually like it the second time around.

It should be great. Never got around to watching it in theaters, and it is a much anticipated purchase for me and my son.

I told my daughter we would go see it but we never did. She is looking forward to it coming out. She is 3 and with it having no dialogue for the first 20 minutes or so I wasn't sure how she would do in the theatre. November will be here soon enough.

Yeah, watching the beginning of wall-e was interesting, because it was just the sound of a robot moving.

The movie itself has very little dialogue until the captain starts talking, but it was a REALLLY great movie IMO.

Def. Blu ray for me

We took our Three year-old to see it and he was mesmerized by it. More so than kung-fu panda. If it is still playing near you, I recommend seeing it on the big screen.

Pixar movies have the potential to look great on Blu. They are must-buy in my opinion. Pixar is the only studio whose Cinema releases I plan to get on Bluray and I mean all of them.

DITTO. They are all fun movies for children and adults. Unlike some of the Dreamworks CGI movies I will not be picking up on BD. I liked Madagascar mostly for the penguins. The character and voice of the Captain Penguin has more talent than the other bums combined. I hope they have a much larger part in the next movie.

When I saw it in the theater all the kids were sitting there, quietly, with their eyes popping out and their mouths hanging open. I'd bet your daughter is going to love it.

Wall-E's gonna be an amazing Blu-ray. Just think about the fact that they're devoting pretty much an entire BD-50 to just the film, a simple short film, and an audio commentary (plus probably some trailers). So, it's gonna look and sound amazing with TrueHD. Other than this, I think Dark Knight is the only one I see coming close to beating this in terms of quality (simply cause of the use of IMAX cameras).

Same here. I have the 3-disc version pre-ordered. Just got the soundtrack in the mail too. Pixar FTW!

Wall-e will be absolutely jaw-dropping on Blu, the movie is a visual feast and it is the best Pixar film since The Incredibles.

for me Wall*E has been the movie of the year for me, even more so than dark Knight! I took my 4 year old to go and see it and we both loved it! Quite possibly the best pixar movie to date!

Also the short Pixar movie at he begining that will be included on the blu ray is hands down, the most hilarious thing i have ever seen in my life!

This will be a reference blu for many years to come! Simply amazing film!

I second that emotion OP. I have Ratatouille on Blu Ray and seen the trailer in HD for that and it looked absolutly amazing. I do however look forward to seeing Presto (the animated short shown before Wall-E in the theatres) in HD.
