I know, I was joking. PS3 seems to be the default answer Don't bother upgrading your MOBO, a PS3 is cheaper, etc... it was just a joke

A dual core is not needed to play blu-ray.

They have gotten perfectly good playback on a sempron 3200, so im sure your 3 Ghz pentium 4 could hack it.
