i watched a couple of videos but still don't know what type of game this is. this is suppose to be a platformer like mario right? only difference is that you can create level for others to play in?

And customize your own cute character, and play multiplayer, offline-online, and single player. Infinite levels to choose from, infinite possibility. It's the youtube of platforming video game. Except instead of people uploading videos, in LBP they upload levels. It's not just side scrolling either, I believe your level is how you make of it.

Oh, and gaming does not get much more innovative then this. At least not this year anyways.

I'm torn. If you steal it, people won't be able to see the ad and the sales might not skyrocket.

Okay, the switcharoo thing will work.

I just pre-ordered at Gamestop and since they gave me the code I just asked them flat out.

"You can always simply transfer your pre-order deposit to another title."

Apparently, since the costumes are digital and not a costly physical item no one really cares who gets the codes. In fact, there is a growing rumor that the codes are all... THE SAME! Or, at least there is a very limited amount of different codes.

Best Buy had no clue whatsoever about the pre-order and it's bonus and didn't have anything available yet.

Either way, I'll pre-order at best buy now to get that code then just move my Gamestop order over to Socom or R2 or something.

Problem solved.

Again, really STUPID marketing by MM though. Seriously, so now they have made all their consumers into scammers and basically hosed the retailers (I wonder how much this will affect Gamestop when people start switching preorders out and such... cost them the LBP sale?). Looks like, in the end anyway, Best Buy will be the biggest winner here.

i always wondered how they were going to do these codes. i doubted that they would individualize them for each game. like with burnout paradise and the steel wheels code, originally a pre-order code then it was posted on the internet within a week. i anticipate something similar, but we'll see
