Does it make sense for me to keep my Age of Ultron steelbooks (one of each version)? I haven't seen the movie yet, but I heard it's not that good. Also, even if I like it, I don't know if I really need both versions. It was an impulse buy. Thoughts?

If you have 2 versions watch 1 and make your own decision. I personally like it.

What constitutes getting a replacement steel book from Zavvi if a steel book arrives damaged? I received a steel book that looks like someone dragged it across a course surface and decided to add a razor scratch at the top to make it uniform, and then it was shrink wrapped. In addition to the damage, one of the corners was pushed in that I managed to pop back out and it has a ding on one side of the front.
I am on my second email with them and the best they can do is 20% back which originally was 10%.

They almost always try to get you to take a discount. I don't even think they read what you wrote on the first correspondence most of the time. Keep replying that you want a replacement or full refund and you'll re-order. Have you already supplied pics with the damage?

I would say, watch one of the versions that you have 2 very similar designs of, and if you like it, keep all of them, but if you don't, keep maybe 1 or 2 that have value/a unique design. Seeing as most Age of Ultron SBs have extremely similar designs, maybe keep the Korean, UK, or some special edition release.

Yes, I supplied the pictures in the first email. I told them that I purchased a new steel book and what they sent me was something other than new as far as description goes. I have been back and forth for going on a week now. They told me that they reviewed the pictures and the most they can do is offer me 20% for the "slight damage."

Did you like the first AVENGERS movie? Do you like TRANSFORMERS? If so, you will like this one.

It's obviously geared for kids -- simple story, lots of action, lots of bravado and totally unrealistic physics and characters. It's a big mindless action movie so love it for what it is.

Keep going. Might take 3 or 4 emails but they do give in.

But they don't read the emails at all. I had one "customer service" guy call me his name as i quoted his email he sent me.

Just say no refund i want a replacement

Is loaning out steelbooks to other users on here a thing? I want to see the rest of season 1 of Outlander (TV 2014-) but can't find a way to rent it and don't want to pay for something I haven't seen before.

So I sent them 2 picutres and asked them for a replacement. They replied back and offered me a 10% refund on a 10$ steel WTF?? Why would I want a discount of a dollar, I don't want the damaged Steel.

I'm fairly new to steelbook collecting. I have a few but they are just the ordinary ones. Anybody have any suggestions for real nice steelbooks to pick up? Ones with awesome art work and neat/interesting inside art? I do have the Total Recall Mondo steelbook on the way and am starting to look for more of those.

Not sure if they "expect" it, but they sure as shit HOPE for it. They are ignoring the specific requests of the customer in hopes that the customer will just give in and not force them to have to go through all of the hassle of a return/replacement procedure. Despite what you write in the initial e-mail, they will still go through the stages. Your entire e-mail could be just 5 words repeated 1000 times, "REPLACEMENT IS THE ONLY OPTION" and they would still offer you 2 discounts on the damaged item before giving in.

If you are willing to open your wallet to an international marketplace, then that is asking a whole hell of a lot for us to do all of the work for you. Besides, everyone has their own opinions regarding "awesome artwork." For example, I find the mondo artwork releases to be quite ugly myself. I wouldn't pay more than $5 for those steelbooks, and that's only if it was the only option available. So, with THAT in mind, check out the following sites:

Hi, I just bought the Back To The Future 30th edition steenbok, my first steelbook purchase. Now I can see what all the hype about steenbooks is about!

Being new... but wanting to begin collecting more of them, I have some basic questions. If the experts here could guide me in the right direction, I would really appreciate it! I've looks around a little on this forum, but not totally sure:

1) Is there a complete list here somewhere of most/all U.S. released steelbooks?

2) I am a HUGE Hitchcock fan. I know Psycho has a steelbook, but are there any other U.S. Hitchcock steels?
