Why not? they could use similar technology as Christopher Lee in "Sith", with Carrie for the closeups and a digital double. They did cast her daughter Billie for a younger Leia, so maybe she could do it as well.

Have you tried the site of the theater? I wound up buying ours straight from Tinseltown near where we live. Took a while, but got them.

Okay...watched the trailer a few times now. That scene at the 1:24 mark with Kylo Ren...is it just me, or does it look like the guy next to him on the right is wearing a Mandalorian helmet?

Yeah, so I used cineplex.com and everywhere in my area was 3D only for the 17th but VIP Oakville didn't say anything about 3D in their listing.

I bought tickets but I feel like it's too good to be true that it's 2D. They always do 3D in VIP.

Yeah, I'm trying to do Megaplex. Both their site and app won't load. I've gotten as far as selecting how many tickets I want on the app, but after that get an error each time. 2:15am showtimes seem to still be available, which I am fine with. Especially so I can see it in Dolby Atmos.

First off: loved the trailer, got my tix, super pumped.

But… I gotta say, this path they're going down, with a universe that doesn't even seem to remember or believe in the old legends, and with our beloved elderly heroes still fighting the good fight… I kinda have an uneasy feeling that it undermines everything we rooted for in the original trilogy. The victories obviously didn't amount to much. To paraphrase Yoda: this new direction may "destroy all for which they have fought and suffered."

I suspect we'll learn a fair amount about what's happened in the last 30 years, that resulted in the Jedi becoming mythical.
