the following pic doesn’t do the imagery even near justice but, for the record…. on the left is a Dolby Pulsar (4000 nits)….on the right, a Dolby PRM-4220 in Rec. 709 mode ![]() and……on the far right, is the cmu working or,what some call, da brains to making it all happen....at least until the trim pass, done by da human |

and with regards to live television and those who know how to enjoy their burgers
![]() the 4300….http://pro.sony.com/bbsc/ssr/show-4k...00_landingpage already is HDR capable, so, releasing for professional users in a matter of days, is new software for it to support S–Log3 ( https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...g#post11141568 ) which is Sony’s color grading space suggestion for HDR production. |

after I made this post ( https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...r#post11433057 ) in the ‘4K Blu-ray confirmed’ thread, i'm now feeling kind of sorry for the gamer dudes, ergo, for the sake of the gamers, and of course, burger lovers

High-Def Digest posted about Dolby Cinema and one of the demos he watched was for a wide gamut version of Inside Out:
"What's notable about this particular sequence is that, while the theatrical standard for color space is P3, this scene is the first in the history of digital projection to use the wider Rec.2020 (aka BT.2020) color gamut. It was, outside of 70mm or 70mm IMAX, possibly the best looking 2D projected imagery I've ever seen." |

I haven't heard any details about how they mastered it but last month Pixar showed the wide color gamut version of Inside Out at the IBC 2015 conference. Last edited by Richard Paul; 10-26-2015 at 02:52 AM. |
