I had S2P2 pre-ordered from DD and after I didn't get a shipping confirmation I contacted them at which point they told me that the item was "temporarily out of stock." Do you think that Viz is recalling sets to fix the audio issue? Or does DD just suck? The way I see it the point of pre-ordering something is so you can get it as soon as possible and a pre-order should equate to a reserved copy. This is what I get for not ordering from Rightstuf...

Viz is going to replace the set. They sent me this email last week.

"Hi Gregory,

Quick update! There will be a replacement solution for fans who have already purchased the set, here is a link to our statement:

Sounds like they will just be sending out new discs. lol

Hopefully in the not so distant future, they will actually release new sets.

OK so I guess it's not DeepDiscount's fault for the delay. I hope there will be some way of knowing right away if it's a corrected set like a new sku or "2nd printing" written on the package.

I wouldn't be surprised if the disc contents were all prepped for this release back on July 20th when Viz first released these dubbed episodes to Hulu. However, they wouldn't have pressed the discs yet so it's very surprising that Viz was aware of the issue with episode 80, fixed it and replaced the file on Hulu with the corrected version, but nobody told the team prepping this release to ensure that the release wasn't affected. Viz isn't a huge company, so it's an oversight that's hard to overlook.

I second not wanting to wait forever to get S just because of Sailor Moon Crystal. It's a completely separate series and I really hope Viz doesn't delay any part of the original anime to accommodate Crystal. Hopefully Viz will announce S set 1 for March, which would follow the same gap between season 1 and 2. I also hope that Crystal will be less expensive, since each half of the season should only be 2 BDs and 2 DVDs, about 13 episodes.

Is anybody else having billing issues with Right Stuf? I called them to update my credit card weeks before Sailor Moon R pt. 2 shipped. Last week Right Stuf sent an email saying they had problems charging my card, but it was active in my pending charges and when I responded, the rep said their billing system has been having glitches since switching to partial orders and that there wasn't an issue on my end.

This week I got another email and the rep told me the issue was with my card company denying the charges. I spoke to Chase who said there's no issue and all other transactions are processing correctly. Yesterday RS charged me 5 times for it and then another time today. They're all sitting in pending and I'll wait to see if any of them go through, but was just curious if anybody else is having a similar problem.

I had a similar issue a year or so ago. The guy I talked to on the phone said that when they update a card, the system still tries to charge the old card and sends out an automatic error message when it fails. It then tries to charge to updated card which is why you got both an error message and a pending charge at the same time. Not sure if it is the same with the new site or not.

It sounds like it's up to the retailers individually. It doesn't say that they are recalling sets, but says retailers can contact their distributor to exchange their stock.

Okay, to anybody who's had experience with this from doing it for the Part 1 slipcover, how in the world do you navigate Warner's phone menu? It was really fuzzy and hard to understand so I got confused and gave up.

Would be much easier if they had a web form.

Agreed! I wish I could say that I've had luck with them before, but I haven't. I had a defective disc with R part 1 and I chose option 3 because it specifically calls out a defective disc, but then it asked for my party's extension. This number was clearly made for retailers, not consumers having an issue. With that set, I eventually got a person who wasn't aware that WB released the set. On top of that, she wanted to know where I purchased it from and she had never heard of Right Stuf. After confirming that I would get an envelope in 2 weeks to send my set back for a replacement, nothing ever showed up and I eventually went through RS to swap it out.

You want to know how great their customer service is? They post the announcement that they will replace the discs late on a Friday and their office is only open M-F 7-6 PT. I'll be calling first thing Monday as I've finished disc 1 and want to wait until the corrected disc 2 is here to continue.
