Someone with too much money and the need to show it off. As far as why? Who knows, have you ever been to a USAC DB Drag competition? It's insane, but they do SQ competition's as well and that's where I used to hang and compete. I have put my single 12" powered by 2 Crossfire BMF 1000 amps on the meter and managed a 147.3 db (thanks to Sammy @ Air Audio for an unreal box design) but in the extreme class they're managing 180db consistently on the meter.

On a side note, Value Pawn had a DB drag this weekend (go figure?) and a Escalade showed up with 8 - 12" subs powered by 4 - 2000 watt amps each - yeah 64000 watts......
