I'll trade you an extra copy of House of Flying Daggers or Ultraviolet that I have. I love The Big Hit.

I buy all of the animated kids stuff. My 2 year old watches them OVER & OVER and just loves them. It's worth the extra dough to get them on blu-ray because she appreciates the improved quality over DVD

I used to have compulsive BD buying disorder, but now that I don't work at BB anymore, and I don't have to look at the discs day in and day out, it's easier for me not to purchase them. I only buy the discs that I really like now, instead of 95% of everything.

There are several reasons as to why I only have a handful of bd's so far.

1. I just got my first player a few weeks ago.
2. My disposable income is pretty tight right now
3. I am very selective when I buy bd's, especially considering their prices.
4. I rather rent first, buy later. That way I can see for myself if it is worth
buying in the new format or not. PQ and SQ are very important. I really don't like poor transfers. Although, I'm pretty sure everyone else feels the same way about that here.
5. Review sites have been very helpful in deterring me from making some bad
purchases.

Ultimately, for me it comes down to prices though. Even though I have a huge collection of dvd's, and I've been collecting them since 2000, I have always been very cheap. I never like to pay more than 10 to 12 dollars for any movies, unless they're some REALLY special editions.

I am up to 14 and still no player yet. At my lowest (?) point I had over 750 DVDs. Of those 750, at least 40 of them were unopened. Probably 200-300 were watched once. I am definitely TRYING to be more selective with my BD purchases. But yes, I feel your pain. We, my friend, park our cars in the same garage.

I definitely find myself needing the new movies just to see how good they look. Ive almost bought some movies that are absolutely horrible. Ghost Rider for instance....I hated it in the theater, but almost like it now that I have seen it in crisp 1080P.
