I agree about the T2 short. That would be a huge bonus for us fans.

The T2 3-D short would be a major selling point for any 3D bluray. It was natively shot on 65mm film at 30fps on a massive for the time $60 million dollar budget. It would look incredible.

Getting back to your general idea, I think short subjects can work better for showcasing 3-D technology, so a collection of shorts is ideal. Feature films inevitably want to tone down effects for at least part of the runtime lest they detract from the action. It's sometimes said that after around 20 minutes or so, most audience members stop noticing 3-D anyway.
