Those are unfortunately DVD-Rs though, and they never finished the last two seasons. Here in Canada we got the whole series released on pressed discs, but they are long OOP and quite pricey now.

1. More episodes on a disc.
2. Better quality discs that are harder to scratch.

I loved goosebumps. $30 bucks for the entire series sounds good so I might pick it up next month

Just FYI guys, this will probably be locked to Region B (though similar releases from Turbine Medien have been region free when tested), and even if it isn't, it will almost certainly be PAL (25 fps) format, so you would need 50Hz capabilities to watch the discs.

On top of that, since this is a US/Canadian production, it is meant to be shown in our 60Hz NTSC (29.97 fps) format. The 50Hz PAL version would have to be be converted to 25 fps, and so the video may have aliasing or combing issues, and the English audio will be pitched 4% faster than it should be, just like most PAL format DVDs. There will probably also be German titles and graphics, because Turbine will likely be using the German broadcast masters for the series.

However, since this is highly unlikely to be released anywhere else on Blu-ray (the only other territory that would even entertain such a release is Japan, and while such a release would be 60Hz, and would probably retain the English titles and graphics, it would probably be very expensive), I would absolutely endorse getting it if you want it and can play 50Hz discs. It would seem very unlikely that the entire series is even coming to DVD in the USA, so your only other options are the UK or Australian DVD sets, which are almost certainly also PAL format.

I remember seeing quite a bit of the series back in the day, and nostalgia for anything from the 90s is strong with me, so I think I will pick this release up, as well. The price is certainly very reasonable for the amount of content.

I already own the DVD set too, the quality is quite good for a tv master and I didn't see combing or aliasing problems.

You mean Turbine's German DVD set?

I just want a complete release on DVD! Both Goosebumps and Are You Afraid of the Dark?! are great shows. I wish they did more horror for kids like this. The new Goosebumps movie looks more silly action than straight horror.

And yeah both shows were shot on film, but edited on SD video, so they're looking at a restoration on the level and scale of Star Trek: TNG to ever be seen properly in HD. That will never happen.

No, they're not bootlegs. Nick releases many of their shows MOD on DVD-R discs. I own the MOD DVD set of AYAOTD Season 1 from Nick (plus 1-2 of Rugrats), and even though it uses DVD-R discs, it still looks/sounds/plays fine for me. The Canadian releases (from a different company) would probably be the better option though if you can find them.

I'm surprised Scream Factory hasn't gone for either of these shows. They have deals with both Nick and Fox.

Shout Factory tried going after more nick titles but they wouldn't deal. It's MOD or nothing with nick. Shout was pretty verbal with their displeasure of working with Nickelodeon

I really thought Goosebumps would have saw a release with the movie that just came out. Even if it was a limited run. I would gladly pay for a nice series complete set.

It's awesome deal too for the set for $30, like why get the DVD for $50 when you can get the Blu-Ray for $30 in nice packaging.
I recommend it, the episodes look pretty good too, I haven't noticed anything bad so far.
