If you look at the non-walmart exclusive one though with the same cover... even that one is priced high too (and only through "amazon sellers"). Makes me think maybe it was a good time to grab your cheap copy.

Last time I ordered from goHastings I ordered a used copy of Heavenly Creature (OOP) for like $7. I was worried about what condition it would show up in and was pleasantly surprised when it showed up new and sealed. After that I'd totally order from them again.

I've only ordered from them once before. It was about 10 video games, all super cheap with a 50% off code. Ever single one was like new and 3 of them still had unused codes for extras in the case. Only had to remove some gohastings stickers that came off really easy. I'm not sure if this is always the case, but from my experience I will definitely order from them again.

OOP means the studio isn't printing more copies and the ones out there are all there is. Usually we are just guessing this has happened based on Amazon no longer selling the title or saying more are coming.

You appear to be correct in that it is OOP. Best Buy is Sold out Online and the Amazon price is well over $100 more than the last listed Price at Best Buy. That certainly fits the usual M.O. for a title that has recently gone out of print. At this point if I was a gambling man I'd put my money on this being done. With that said ebay still has several priced decently.

That's what I'd thought. After hearing of this I saw that Amazon is no longer selling it themselves, and a chat said that they don't expect more in (though the accuracy of the info from a chat is of course somewhat less than 100%).

Thanks. That's what I'd thought, though at the same time I might've been missing something and certainly don't want to step on anyone's toes or cause controversy with my first post in this thread. Sometimes the supply line still has a few copies in stock and/or the resellers haven't all yet caught on that something is oop. That could be the case here. Hopefully if some people have been holding off on this one then they'll pull the trigger on one of those sets still at a reasonable price.

According to the Commando thread, the Director's Cut steelbook edition is OOP:



It was a BBY exclusive, so jury's out on whether it will eventually be re-released to other stores, either as a steelbook like before or in regular packaging.

Not really. Isn't there another F13th being made? I'm sure another release of the older titles, will be released as well. Anything to make a buck. Hopefully, the newer 3D re-release will be offered, as a seperate release.

I'd be willing to bet good money that we'll never see a Real 3D conversion of Part 3. It's one of the least popular installments of the franchise and they're not going to spend the time and money to do it. A re-release? Sure, at some point, but it won't be in Real 3D.

Unless another studio is allowed to license the film, sadly I think you're correct. With 4K tv's completely ignoring the 3D spec and thus far being unable to playback the content (SUCH A SHAME!) it doesn't bode well for future restorations of 3D titles. Still, this and Jaws 3D are just begging for a release, so I refuse to give up hope for an official release. In the mean time thank god for unofficial preservation's.
