Got dispatch notifications this morning. Now I'm hoping it doesn't get hit by customs. If I hadn't done my research I would never have known that this isn't a U.K. Based company especialy with prices in pounds and the U.K web address. Very misleading I think. Particularly for people who don't import regularly and are not aware of any potential customs fees. Luckily I import a lot. You have to study the site to discover it's US based

Not sure of your order size, but I ordered around 9 titles before Christmas and it came to about £80, all arrived in a box and no customs issues

Earlier they used to have a lot of R2/R3 stuff and less of US stuff. I think some years ago they shifted base.

I received the wrong item from these the other day. Trouble is, they never reply to my e-mails. I was eventually refunded for Bone Tomahawk after 30 days, as they never claimed the payment. But they're making it increasingly hard for me to order from them, which is a shame, as their prices on Kino's are particularly attractive right now.

was HK based at one time, so a good alternative source for UK buyers of HK discs many years back. i used it quite a lot.

business has changed hands. customer services now seems to be bad. yes, i've had emails ignored many times, across only a few orders since this happened. these days i don't order unless in stock (never 'special order' or 'back order' items) and i recommend using paypal as if they ignore your emails you can open a case - much harder to ignore.

My ImportCD's orders seem to be re-shipped from inside the UK so I imagine orders from WowHD will be also.

i would say: avoid. customer service is almost as bad as zavvi.

they used to be good in the past, when they were still doing business as cdwow. last year they tried to scam me for about 85 euro's, got it back after months and contacting visa.

they are indeed now owned by american company. the offers are not interesting anymore, they don't have the hk stuff anymore and they have still not worked out all the shit from before. (still hundreds of people without their money or their orders)

Well if they are now owned by the same company as ImportCDs then I would say they are definitely worth using as I have had nothing my excellent service from them and WowHD prices are a little cheaper so win win.

That's one of the ones I ordered, too.

I put the two orders through separately just to be safe.

That way if WOW send them together, and customs step in, I can claim I didn't order them together and have grounds for a refund/rebate.

they sent three together to me the other week but i did order them together.i don't think their system is clued up enough to combine separate orders, i could be wrong. Not saying it will never change but i don't think customs is currently an issue with these

What are WOW HD like on pre-orders. They have Shout! Factory's The Serpent and the Rainbow for £14.95 and really want to order this.

I assume they send a dispatch email as I can't see any order status on my order page?
