In the Marvel One-Shot "The Consultant". I can't remember when they mentioned him in the TV show - albeit straight forward or in a round about way - but I think I recall some kind of mention.

Found it! It was in Episode 13 of the first season (TRACKS). Phil Coulson threatened Grant Ward to post him to guard Blonsky in his cryo-cell on the night shift if his sexual relationship with Melinda May had adverse effects on their team. He mentioned that it was in Barrow, Alaska.

Well.... it looked like Skull went travelling wherever it took him in the 9 realms. That thing teleported him. But I guess we can call it a kill cuz Marvel ain't doing anything w/ it.

Blonsky was only cool when he WASN'T a CGI monster.

No. Marvel has already said its not. It picks up a year into Peter being Spider-Man.

I get what you're saying with putting killed in quotes. Red Skull clearly went to another realm or dimension but Ronan straight blew up. There's no coming back from that unless Thanos in IW resurrects past villains.

Makes me think even more this kid was the completely wrong choice for this role.

I just think it's funny because it's literally what they said about the first ASM. Indie spirit in a big blockbuster. It's not even unique to spider-man, let alone comic films.

Is it just me or this is ridiculous?

Super heroes movies, number of years from the first movie to the second reboot.

Batman: 62 years
Superman: 35 years
Hulk: 30 years

Are they gonna make up their minds and keep this reboot alive?

It's super ridiculous and turns me right off, but the studios seem to think this is the path to success now-a-days. Same thing with Batman being rebooted yet again a few years after Dark Knight Rises. I think it's so silly, but whatever.

I really wish they had just retroactively added the Maguire films to the MCU and either had him as a veteran or had him retire and train Miles Morales.
