Not sure if we'll see Ultron come back, but I could easily see the other three making surprise returns for the Infinity War. Kinda hoping for that TBH, hopefully they can do something more interesting with Malekith.

Great villains never die, they just fade away.

In the Marvel One-Shot "The Consultant". I can't remember when they mentioned him in the TV show - albeit straight forward or in a round about way - but I think I recall some kind of mention.

Found it! It was in Episode 13 of the first season (TRACKS). Phil Coulson threatened Grant Ward to post him to guard Blonsky in his cryo-cell on the night shift if his sexual relationship with Melinda May had adverse effects on their team. He mentioned that it was in Barrow, Alaska.

Well.... it looked like Skull went travelling wherever it took him in the 9 realms. That thing teleported him. But I guess we can call it a kill cuz Marvel ain't doing anything w/ it.

Blonsky was only cool when he WASN'T a CGI monster.

No. Marvel has already said its not. It picks up a year into Peter being Spider-Man.

I get what you're saying with putting killed in quotes. Red Skull clearly went to another realm or dimension but Ronan straight blew up. There's no coming back from that unless Thanos in IW resurrects past villains.

We've previously heard from director Jon Watts about the upcoming Spider-Man reboot and how the film would feature a bit of a John Hughes vibe to it. While speaking with The Daily Beast, star Tom Holland further elaborated on that statement, confirming the Hughes influence and also revealed what comic book film they are not trying to imitate.

Quote:
“It’s not The Dark Knight. One of the special things about what we’re going to try and create is that you’re going to see the biggest independent film ever. It’s not going to be an epic thing; it’s going to be a film surrounded by these incredible things, but that follows this boy and his life. Peter Parker is a favorite of many because everyone can relate to him, and we’re going to try to make everyone relate to our Peter Parker. And John Hughes is a perfect example of what we’re going to try and do.”
With Peter Parker going back to high school, I'd say taking influence from such films as The Breakfast Club, Say Anything and Ferris Bueller's Day Off is definitely a good route to take. What John Hughes film would you like to see influence the film? Let us know your thoughts on that and Holland's comments below. The currently untitled Spider-Man reboot hits theaters July 28, 2017.

I don't think he's quite got to grips with what an independent film is.

It was rather irritating to read his comment. "It'll be this huge thing! It's this thing that's incredible! It's such a great thing! You don't even KNOW about this thing!"

Makes me think even more this kid was the completely wrong choice for this role.

I just think it's funny because it's literally what they said about the first ASM. Indie spirit in a big blockbuster. It's not even unique to spider-man, let alone comic films.

The first Spider-Man movie was released in 2002 and 15 years later the series will be rebooted for the second time?
Is it just me or this is ridiculous?

Super heroes movies, number of years from the first movie to the second reboot.

Batman: 62 years
Superman: 35 years
Hulk: 30 years

Are they gonna make up their minds and keep this reboot alive?

It's super ridiculous and turns me right off, but the studios seem to think this is the path to success now-a-days. Same thing with Batman being rebooted yet again a few years after Dark Knight Rises. I think it's so silly, but whatever.

I really wish they had just retroactively added the Maguire films to the MCU and either had him as a veteran or had him retire and train Miles Morales.
