Another Canadian complaining about a really delayed TT order--I'm still waiting for my shipment of THE LAST DETAIL and USED CARS to arrive in my mailbox. I took advantage of the January 20% sale from SAE and my order shipped on Jan. 28, but the last update was that it arrived in Canada on Feb. 5. and I'm still waiting--it's never taken more than two weeks for my orders to be delivered.
Update: it appears Canada Customs held my order up--it's now listed to arrive tomorrow!

TT (or perhaps more accurately, SAE, when they were the sole sales site) began limiting the number of titles you could purchase after IIRC the release of Christine, which sold out within only a couple hours. Scalpers bought multiple copies and that led to a lot of outcry from fans who couldn't get a copy before it sold out. I didn't get a copy originally and only got one when TT re-released an additional 60 copies that hadn't been sold due to canceled orders. Since then, TT/SAE have limited sales of some titles that they anticipate to be hot sellers. Some titles are limited from the getgo, while others are limited when they drop down to 1000 of the original 3000 lot. Usually, it's 3 per customer when there's still plenty available, and then 1 per customer when only a few hundred are available.

With the 5000 release titles, I'm guessing/vaguely remembering TT didn't feel the need to impose limits until the quantities dropped low, which makes sense since the supply is so much bigger. So I guess it's theoretically possible that someone bought 80+ copies of The Blob. However, it still seems rather unlikely to me.

THE BLOB had a 3-per-customer limit from the very start. They never removed that limit, and it sold out relatively quickly with that limit still in place.

Gorgeous cover art on Anastasia. With the high exchange rate on the Cdn dollar I was on the fence about upgrading my dvd but this convinced me.

Nice. My order of Where the Sidewalk Ends, The Big Heat, and Mysterious Island (might as well get it before it sells out) should be here sometime today. I have no idea when I'll be able to watch any of the three due to personal stuff going on right now, but at least I'll have them only a few days after release. I'll buy Cowboy sometime later down the road.

This was the second time I've ordered directly from Twilight Time. I've also been pleased so far, although I'll still obviously order from Screen Archives when/if they have the next anniversary sale.

I am in Canada too. My tracking also indicated the order arrived in Canada on February 5th and it arrived in my mailbox this past Friday (the 12th). Historically when I look at the tracking and it gives me that date of arriving in Canada, it takes about another two weeks to actually get to me. Although SAE sometimes do take their time in sending things out, the delay is really the fault of Canada Post and/or Canada Customs.

Oh yes, I'm not blaming SAE, merely kvetching about our not-so-beloved Crown corporation and/or Canada Customs (I rarely have shipping problems, but this week has been a cluster**** with Canada Post: my massive Criterion sale order from Amazon.ca shipped from Mississauga on Feb. 12 and went out for delivery on Feb. 16, but the postal carrier thought my downtown postal code was wrong (it's not), so it went back to the main Calgary distribution hub until they realized their error and now the tracking info says it will be delivered by March 3! I submitted an e-ticket to complain about the service and the unreasonable length of time!).

With any luck, I will arrive home from work today and find my TT blu-rays sitting in my mailbox--my partner and I can eat some takeaway, drink beer, and watch a double feature to kick off another long weekend!

Don't jinx it! Anytime I think like that, the packages are never there. Whenever I give up and think it's just lost in the mail, it turns up! Do you have door to door delivery still? We have a "super" mailbox and there's been a few times they've jammed stuff in there so tight, I've had to cut the parcel open and pull out the items while it's still in the mailbox.

Yeah, I know, I probably did jinx it! My apartment building still has the individual tenant mailboxes and a big parcel locker with multiple compartments of varying sizes in our lobby--the postal carrier leaves the package in the locker and puts the key to the locker in my mailbox, so I rarely have to pick up a package at a postal outlet. Of course, if it's an Amazon.ca package, it's often left against my apartment door!

The "super" mailbox system is such a joke, especially after Canada Post, ah, posted a juicy profit last year--the government ordered them to reverse the super mailbox plan, but who knows how long that will take!

Ah gotcha. Actually the superboxes work the same way as your apartment, there's a couple of larger boxes for the parcels, but that doesn't stop them from stuffing some of the smaller parcels into the individual boxes if the bigger ones are in use.

I haven't bought a Twilight Time release before. Do they go on Amazon or do I need to pre-order from their website?

I'm a UK buyer and very keen to get hold of 10 Rillington Place and noticed its only got a limited run of 3000 copies.

Either through Twilight Time's new website or the SAE website. And it will be available when they begin to take pre-orders for it.

Information on pre-ordering Twilight Time titles can be found in the first post of this thread.

Placed an order for the Summer Lovers autographed copy, plus

The Big Heat
Bound For Glory
Strange Invaders
House of Bamboo

I wish these specials allowed for the inclusion of one $24.95 title. I'd love to order Angel or Fatherland, but they bring the order total to $5 short, despite being the same number of blu-rays ordered (and a quite sizable purchase of $115 before s/h).

I received my order (with the autographed Summer Lovers) today, only two days after placing my order:

(I swapped out Adele H. with a gray case.)

Anybody with the The Big Heat reissue care to run a BDinfo scan? Curious if this a new encode.
