That's a shame, I might have got it if it was released on 3D BD in US.

Why would someone 'buy' a movie if they didn't appreciate the work of those involved?

I really dislike Weinstein. I've had to import many titles to escape his revisionist ways.

Decent film and I enjoyed the "villains" despite going in not well versed in the Goosebumps universe. Although, I think it would have been more fun if the kids in the film were younger. Something more akin to Jumanji.

As for 3-D, decent depth at times and one good pop-out (the wolfman in the supermarket scene) but overall I would rate the 3-D a 2.5 or 3 out of 5 overall.

Yup, good call! Only thing I could possibly suggest back is one that we enjoyed that was mostly overlooked by all was The Lorax. Surprisingly good on all fronts if you haven't checked it out.

Stalingrad - A very stylized and good-looking WWII film. It was nice to see a WWII story from a different perspective and even with this being a Russian film, I didn't feel it was horribly one-sided. The effects are great and the 3D looks good, particularly during the battles. I read it was done on a $30 million budget which is impressive.

I went in blind with this but but enjoyed it. I am not one to want to read subtitles while watching 3D BDs but this one I do recommend the subtitles. The dubbing is bad and the voice actors are terrible. Stick with the original Russian and German. The 3D is at it's heaviest in the battle scenes and you don't have to worry with subtitles much during those.

Movie: ***1/2 out of *****
3D: **** out of *****

The underlying sadness of the child's story struck an emotional chord with me that I will feel for days.

The casting is perfection. All the way around from the main child actor down to the smallest supporting role. And the 3D is excellent. This movies proves that you can have excellent 3D and not have to be an action or horror movie. It's just a downright beautiful film, both story and picture.

Why haven't I heard of this movie before???

Movie: ***** out of *****
3D: ***** out of *****
at least i'm not the only one who thought the 3d in that movie is great.

Thanks I have seen The Lorax but not in 3D. I have been told it amazing in 3D so I might have to pick it up.

Hi all,
i recently watched The Martian and i thought it was great. The 3D in my opinion was also great, it made it feel more realistic and believable also, with the anti gravity scenes in particular standing out.

Really sharp picture, not as much strong pop-out like the first one.
As sequals go this one wasn't so bad, like say: Smurfs 2.

Watched "Everest". Looks great in 3d.

Hadn't realized that The Young And Prodigious T.S. Spivet had finally appeared in the U.S. However where is the 3d version. Ditto for Sammy 1.

The Wolverine 3D ** Unimpressive and dark 3D, non-extended version. I enjoyed the extended 2D better. Skip It.

Pirates of the Caribbean On Stranger Tides 3D *** Uninspiring 3D. I enjoyed the brighter, more colorful 2D better.

Star Trek Into Darkness 3D **** Nice 3D depth, bright. The U.S.S. Enterprise in 3D -- what more could you want. Recommend.

Pacific Rim 3D ***** WOW! Very impressive, immersive 3D experience. Top Tier. Demo Quality. Very Highly Recommended. A Must See 3D.

Thunder and the House of Magic 3D ***** WOW! for pop-outs, bright color, and animation. In the top tier of the best animated 3D I've seen. Story so,so and predictable but in 3D it will be enjoyed by the entire family. Demo Quality. Highly Recommended.

Madagascar 3 3D ***** Another WOW! animated 3D. Bright, colorful, lots of pop-outs with excellent depth, and a very funny story for kids and adults. Combined 3D and very funny story/characters puts this in the top 3D tier. Demo Quality. Highly Recommended.

I am underwhelmed by the 3D in most releases these days. The lack of pop out in nearly every movie makes me feel like my movie screen is just a window. Great depth in many but I think the lack of projection toward the viewer is killing the format.

I agree... Pop out is what it's all about. The audience is there, the tech is there for fantastic 3d, it wouldn't be a loss to fully support, and give us viewers what we want.
