But in FA he didn't really do anything. He walked... and he talked... and then he fell. Don't get me wrong, I loved every second of him.

Indy is a much more physical role. So, it will be interesting how they (the filmmakers) walk that line of "what can we have indy do in his 70s".

Indy is dead. They found his corpse inside a refrigerator in the Nevada desert.

My one hope for Indy 5? TONE. DOWN. THE. SLAPSTICK.

Now I get that all Indy films have had *some* humor. Crusade and, to a lesser extent, even Temple had *some* slapstick. But God was it awful in Skull. I knew exactly what kind of movie I was in for the minute Indy fell backward after riding that rocket at the beginning. Just freaking awful. Compare that moment to *anything* in Raiders of the Lost Ark. The tone is just ALL WRONG for Indiana Jones.

To a lesser degree, I also believe Ford did this with Han Solo in Jedi. I've always had this theory that he came out of the carbonite with a little bit of freezer brain given the way he was acting. lol (He did seem to reel that back in a bit in Force Awakens).

Spielberg just isn't the greatest with sequels IMO. He seems to think the way to go is to just inject more and more humor with each outing. The problem is that, eventually, it just isn't the same series anymore. Raiders was a great and SERIOUS adventure with a few comedic bits here and there to lessen the tension. Temple pushed the humor a tad more, but it still worked well IMO. Crusade and Skull were basically action comedies.

I honestly think Spielberg was just really shell-shocked with Temple. He's been on record as saying he thought it went far too dark (to be accurate, the dark PARTS were VERY dark...but it had a LOT of humor nonetheless). But Indy 5 NEEDS to be darker than 3 and 4, IMO. If Spielberg can strike a more serious tone again, this could actually be good.

Assuming they film in 2017 or 2018, he'll either be 75 or 76 at the time of filming. Kick ass, Harrison!

And the entire rest of KotCS takes place in his mind while he's sitting on Blofeld's torture chair.

Indiana Jones will be older than the relics he is trying to find/save.

And how are you going to write out Indiana's SON?!?
Eh. Just put a picture of the Beef next to Connery on Indy's desk. Done.

Hope this film takes place in the 1960's and Indy goes on adventures with young film makers George Lucas and Steven Spielberg in Southern California.

Harrison can do all three films, because, he is a Nexus 7.

Could Indy show up at Woodstock? That'd be great.

And the last scene of the movie flashes ten years later where they are showing the film to dying Indy and Lucas has changed everything and added a bunch of CGI crap.

Ford's part will be a cameo. Idris Elba will be playing a gay Indy. Hollywood can cover two bases with one flick! Yea...

So I see that Disney will be taking over distribution from Paramount, which makes sense since they own LucasFilms. Does anybody know what the deal is for the first four films with Paramount? Are they in perpetuity (ala Star Wars: A New Hope and Fox) or are the distribution rights going to eventually return to Disney (ala Fox and the other five Star Wars films)?

Wow, Ford is returning, which I did not expect, will be interesting to see what they do. I guess Chris Pratt won't be taking over after all.

I hope they bring back on Frank Darabont to write since his previous "best Indy script ever" was trashed by George Lucas.
