Best Buy doesn't carry imports in store.

[Show spoiler]What makes this a better movie to me than the original (controversial opinion!) is that Barbara is an actual 3D character this time around, instead of the joke she she was in the original. Plus seeing her shoot Harry at the end (spoiler!) was hilarious and satisfying at the same time.

I ordered on April 4 in the very short window that Best Buy had this import online. Today I received a message apologizing for the delay but saying that it should arrive in my mailbox no later than May 9. So now I wait....

I emailed them asking if they have an ETA of stock for that item.

If they don't know, I might ask for a refund for that item and just buy it somewhere else.

I emailed them yesterday and they said they had no idea when they would get more in. I'd be surprised if they ever did.

Looks like I'll probably have to end up ordering from the land down under and hope it gets to me in one piece.

Had they haven't gutted their movie section and kept it to the size it was back in the DVD days, i'm pretty sure a few region free imports would've been hidden among the ubiquitous US releases.

I remember seeing a bunch of import CD releases back in those days, hence how I was able to get Black Sabbath's "Seventh Star" and that Joy Division "Warsaw" bootleg into my collection.

Thanks for the heads up! I just sent them another email asking for them to cancel that part of my order, as the other part of it shipped already.

Went ahead and ordered from Umbrella Entertainment directly.

Just ordered this through Umbrella Entertainment since it's obvious Deep Discount will most likely never ship this title. Don't even know why they bothered to advertise the release? $22 U.S. Dollars to ship from Australia. Site accepts PayPal.

I'm sure that eventually deep discount will get more stock of the Australian release. Just a matter of time. The question is will they get stock before their 30 day back order policy goes into effect. Maybe not. If they get stock in time I'll be thrilled because I will have gotten it for $14. If not I'll find it elsewhere.

Apparently, the color timing is correct but the print isn't as pristine as the TT.

Though the original George A. Romero Night of the Living Dead (1968) is an iconic horror classic, the extremely underrated 1990 version is incredible.

In fact, I may even like NOTLD '90 better than the original. It's in color, the make-up effects are obviously superior, and

[Show spoiler]I like the ending - where the Tony Todd character becomes a zombie himself - better than the ending of the original '68 version.

I'm looking to buy this 1990 version, and don't want to spend an arm & a leg on the Blu. I may just get this on regular DVD; I'm still kicking myself for not picking this up when I saw it four a great price in a DVD four-pack (with several other horror flicks) at a grocery store several years back
