Default Interested in Jak and Daxter?

Initially, Naughty Dog hadn't specified any future games in the series, with only hints and comments providing clues to their decision. Co-President Evan Wells stated that the new technology in their Uncharted: Drake's Fortune engine may be used for a new Jak and Daxter trilogy, as well as saying that "there is a lot of interest around the office in going back to that franchise (Jak and Daxter) and seeing what we could do with it using the Uncharted engine." Later, more concrete details were leaked when a name for an, apparently, future Jak and Daxter game was registered in the U.S. Patent Office called Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier, and much later several prototype game cinematics were also leaked onto the Internet featuring old and new game characters in unfamiliar situations (Jak has short-cut hair and, along with Daxter, is interacting with new allies and battling new foes), and Naughty Dog refused to comment on both.[1] Naughty Dog did not show up at the E3 2008 convention, leaving many uncertain of what they were doing. But in a recent IGN interview with Naughty Dog's Richard Lemarchand, he explains that "You won't have to wait too long for [the big revelation]." and that "We are working hard on something, and we haven't just been resting on our laurels." [2]

I hope there is more info on this soon!!!

Uncharted > New Platforming IP > Jak & Daxter

Uncharted's characters are the first from Naughty Dog I've fallen in love with, if they produced a new pure-platforming game character I'm sure it'd be 1000x better than Jak.

I wouldn't mind a new Jak & Daxter. I'd wait for the reviews before buying it, since I've never played a J&D game before. But it being on the PS3 would be a great excuse for me to get into the series. But I'd prefer an Uncharted 2 and 3.

Jak and Daxter made for great games, but Crash also made for great games before that. I just don't see Naughty Dog going back and making another Jak and Daxter game. New system means new franchise, that new franchise is Uncharted, which I personally am more than happy with.

I would ****ing love this. I played the Jak and Daxter games non-stop (Especially 1 and 3) and I loved them so god damn much.

Sure, keep with Uncharted by all means. I absolutely love that game. But that doesn't mean they can't be making both series at the same time.

I have never played a Jak game (except psp dexter). They kind of seem like a poor man's Ratchet. Are they any good?

Ive never played a Jak and Daxter game, so Id love to try one.

But considering Naughty Dog isnt likely to produce at a game-a-year pace, Id rather they focus on Uncharted 2 (and possibly 3)

Maybe cuz Ratchet & Clank just never tried to take itself too seriously is my guess? Jak & Daxter always felt a bit more darker on the fringes. But I love Jak/Daxter as much as Ratchet/Clank so eh...

I am sure they have separate development teams for both games.

Jak and Daxter The Lost Frontier could be in developement for the past few years

I absolutely love all 4 of those....however, for me it always has been and always will be: Spyro > Crash and Ratchet > Jak.

I replay Ratchet like some kind of junkie. I've gone back through each one about 3-7 times. I never get sick of them, they're insane fun.

I think I like Insomniac a little more but, Uncharted > Resistance.
