Sounds like a pricing error as that was way to cheap for a brand new release as they are normally £20+

I agree its poor how they handled it but I wouldn't write them off entirely still a very good source of import titles at low prices.

I'm having a really bad experience with WowHD at the moment, to the point that I've actually had to send them multiple e-mails to complain.

I've been trying to find out what's happened to something that I should have received by now.

Twice they've changed the amount of time I'm apparently supposed to wait, and most recently they've suggested that before anything, I should contact my local postal office and customs to see if they know the whereabouts of my parcel. I did contact the post office, knowing what to expect. When they laughed at me asking if they could find an untracked parcel, I laughed with them.

It seems that WowHD are trying to shirk any responsibility for this, and thus far are totally unwilling to refund or replace my item.

I'm hoping that they resolve this soon, but it really isn't giving me a very good impression of them.

That sort of thing happens. Nothing to do with Wow HD, really.

when the company changed hands they quickly got themselves a reputation for poor customer service. my advice is use paypal and if you aren't being heard, open a case ... people either move more quickly or just refund your money.

I second this, I've used PayPal for all of my orders with them so far as it gives you peace of mind if you need to dispute something.

You can also just dispute your regular credit card payment with your bank

What's mainly upsetting me isn't the fact that I haven't got my stuff, nor that they haven't refunded me, it's the fact that they've changed how long I have to wait before they will act more than once. I know about raising a case with PayPal and I know things get lost in the post, but that's not what's upsetting. It's the fact that they've told me one thing, then another, then another. I don't mind if something takes a while or if I have to wait, I just don't like being given contradictory information. I think that's fair enough.

I've ordered a few hundred items with ImportCDs, who are owned by the same people as WOWHD now are, I believe? Nothing's ever taken more than about 9-10 days before, but I'm currently waiting on a package that was shipped two weeks ago. So I wonder if a batch of their parcels got held up somewhere.

Still, two weeks isn't an extreme amount of time for stuff from the States - how long have you been waiting, Dougling?

Only made the one order from Wow-Mad Max UHD and found it to be a pain free process.

These stories can relate to any online retailer. Only Amazon in my experience deal with stuff quickly and are easy to contact at anytime.

I've used wowhd many times, they always reply to emails, they give shipment info and tracking. I've yet to have a missing item or an item take ages to arrive. But I'm sure I've had problems with other online stores where others haven't.

Hope things resolve for you dougling.

Anyone thinking of using them first time, there is every chance your experience with them will be like mine.

I had a similar issue a few years ago, every message was 'please wait another week and we will recess' eventually got to 2-3 months after it should have arrived and they finally agreed it was lost and sent a replacement which arrived in around 2 weeks.

Haha, so true. While most seem to have a pain free experience with Amazon, I constantly have issues with them.

Somewhere between 6 and 8 weeks now... it's been so long I've lost track!

I've just sent them a bluntly honest message, in the hope that it will resolve it. I haven't been nasty in it, that's not my style, I've just firmly pointed out that they've contradicted themselves and in the meantime I'm out of pocket for no good reason.

Maybe soon!

I noticed you're in Bristol too. Maybe they just don't like us there!

I want to give them the opportunity to resend my item before I make a claim for the money back.

It's weird, because I used them two other times and they were really swift and got my stuff to me really quickly. It just seems to be this one order that's gone wrong, and they're being difficult.

I'm sure it'll get resolved soon enough, and as much as we all love them, a film isn't the biggest thing in the universe... it's just one of those stresses that niggles at a person.
