Default Syfy's "Killjoys" (Season 3)

Quote:
Created by showrunner Michelle Lovretta (Lost Girl) and produced by Temple Street Productions (Orphan Black), Killjoys follows a trio of reclamation agents as they chase deadly warrants throughout the Quad, a distant planetary system on the brink of a bloody, class war.

Leading the Killjoys team is Dutch (Hannah John-Kamen), a gorgeous, former assassin with a complicated past; her loyal partner John (Aaron Ashmore), a witty, technical wizard with a vulnerable heart; and his estranged brother D’avin (Luke Macfarlane), an elite soldier with an expertise in combat tactics. Together, the three Killjoys form a highly accomplished team of bounty hunters, each with distinct and valuable specialties to offer as they navigate the culturally rich, politically complex, and economically polarized worlds of The Quad. As previously announced, Canadian genre icon Amanda Tapping guest stars as a fiercely clever scientist, whose charismatic charm keeps her true intentions concealed from the Killjoys.

Just watched the opening episode of this, it was fun if not a little bland. The main chick is smoking.

This show seems to be getting better with every episode! I'm really enjoying both it and Dark Matter.

This is much better than I thought it would be. The dynamic between Dutch and Khlyen is very interesting.

Killjoys season 2 starts July 1st!

I really like this show. I'm surprised it's not more popular. Glad it got another season to find its audience.

That line was probably the best single line in the entire first season.

It's even better because it's also true.

I have to agree. While I couldn't get into Dark Matter, I've found Killjoys the better of the offerings from SyFy. It's sad that this is the first real scifi series that SyFy has given us since Farscape.

I think SyFy has been on a roll recently. Defiance was also pretty good. I liked Dark Matter better than Killjoys, but The Expanse is the best thing from SyFy since BSG IMO ...

I enjoy all of those you mentioned, I would throw Continuum and 12 Monkeys in there as well.

Great first episode to the second season. I hope more people start watching and appreciating because I'd love a third season. I can see this show really taking off.

The second season has been, kind of, in the middle of the road for me. While the first season was the best, the second season kind of left the stables with a muffled whine. The first season set up the idea that RAC was being controlled by Khlyen and there was a secret section of Level 6's, which nobody knew about. I also get that the company has a lot of influence.

But, when we get to the second season, we find out that Khlyen kidnapped D'avin so he could turn D'avin into a Level 6 agent for the sole purpose of protecting Dutch. So far, some of this makes sense but the whole idea regarding D'avin's abduction by Khlyen seems to be way out in left field that has me scratching my head as to who came up with this dumb plot idea.

Now, the writers have thrown a new twist into the mix, there is now even a more secret group over Khlyen, which even Khlyen is afraid of. It just sounds like someone on the production crew decided to take multiple ideas (only because they sound cool) and throw them into the pot, hoping that the viewers would be too dumb to notice that they were just winging it.

I'm hoping that someone more competent than these writers will straighten out this mess before the second season becomes a mediocre season. When Dark matter started, I couldn't get into the first season but the second season has definitely improved its writing. Kind of a reversal between the two shows.

There's always someone more sinister and powerful right around the corner.
