There was a time when Hollywood would do something fun and silly like bring Brosnan back for one more go before moving on to the real successor. That time is long gone though, and no executive would okay a "risk" like that to a "franchise."

Yeah, my last choice as well, I'd rather see Connery come back again in The Spy Who Loved Viagra. Everyone has their own Bond preference though, very subjective.

Pierce Brosnan is my favorite James Bond role (Sean Connery too) and it like Sean Connery did return "unofficial" James Bond film Never Say Never Again and I would like to see Brosnan back for one more but I don't think he not go for it.

Had the rest of Die Another Day been like the pre-title sequence than I would rank it far higher. It goes from intense and gritty with Bond getting tortured etc. to full blown cringefest in a really short space of time.

![]() But yeah the final act is definitely the worst part although personally like I said it starts to go downhill really quickly imo. |

Last time I watched A View to a Kill, it actually wasn't as bad as I remembered it. Not good, mind you, but it has some redeeming qualities. I'd probably put it neck and neck with Die Another Day, depending on my mood. They're both messes, but fun messes.
Diamonds Are Forever, on the other hand, is my least favorite Bond film period. It's a very ugly movie and even more sexist than usual for that period. Connery looks extremely bored, and Jill St. John is annoying. The only good thing I can say about it is that it has a decent theme song. |

Same here if it kept something along the line at the start of DAD then who knows.

It hits the fan before Iceland. The fencing scene is some of the worst few minutes in James Bond. Even without Madonna.

![]() Bond for me is a unique series in that even the lesser films I hold some degree of affection for. Every single one of them has some stuff I like. |

Interesting; it does have a "4K Film Scanning" credit. But I'm pretty sure that the only ones that got a full-blown 4K restoration were the first nine (Dr. No through Man With the Golden Gun). Maybe they scanned the others at 4K but only did a 2K master?
