![]() I was just looking over the Morgan Creek Library and that one jumped out as something that could make for a minor announcement. Even if it was a limited run of say 3000 units I'd like to think that there would be enough interest to move through them. |

I'm also fed up with people only jabbing on about Salva and his paedophiliac preferences. I mean by God, how many directors' films should we avoid if we were to always take into consideration the political or personal preferences of the director himself? A long list of "no-no" films that would become. Truth is, Jeepers Creepers (especially the first one) is among the better ambient horror movies from that decade, which had a lot of crap being released. It's a film you can watch many times without it losing its impact, ambience and grittiness. Bring it on! ![]() |

In reference to Fright Night and Fright Night II Scream Factory Never say never but at this time (and for the foreseeable future) we do not have inroads for these two films.
Leatherface TCM III is with Warner ROTLD Part II is with Warner Candyman is with Sony Donnie Darko is with Fox None of these are likely at this point , especially the Warner titles. There was a rumor swirling that Candyman was with Twilight Time but that might not be the case. If shout were to strike deals with these studios, Im certain that all four of these films would be on Cliff's list. ![]() |

It was with Image since 2008 and Scream picked it up. Warner produced it and released it on VHS, lost the rights as it went to Image, and their rights expired. It seems like several Lakeshore and Image rights to some titles are expiring which is good if Shout or others can get them.. So you are wrong, sorry ![]() ![]() Also Xtro is now with Warner if youre keeping score. |

![]() Then again, it seemed like practically everyone decided the original version of EFNY looked better (or that it was basically a wash), so maybe Shout would back off here. Even if they don't need to give it a new transfer, Shout have plenty of maneuvering room to make a better US edition considering how thoroughly the Arrow trounced the US release in that regard. Arrow hasn't seemed to show much interest in acquiring rights to release their handful of mainstream pics over here, otherwise I'd hope that they'd get the rights to put out the same release here. |

God could reach down from the heavens and bless any given SF release, but there are a select few that would still find fault and call it rubbish just because it has the SF logo. It is what it is. Me, I'm quite happy with SF's string of announcements so far. Just great stuff coming up over the next few months. ![]() |

I'm really impressed by how they've upped their game recently. I really am looking forward to The Thing and Carrie, two of my favorites, and the Bill and Ted set. I am less excited by ROTLD just because I already have the MGM bluray and the DVD of More Brains, but I will definitely pick it up when it goes into the 20 dollar range. |

EFNY has a lot of people who hate the brighter transfer, but I think majority opinion would be that it's the better version, and I think a majority of the ones who prefer the older one think it's very close. I certainly have no problem with it and feel no need to buy the first version. Dog Soldiers has that weird, ugly transfer that everyone dislikes. I don't really have an opinion on that one. I think that's kind of what they were stuck with, and the extras are good, and I dunno if there's any chance of a better version ever appearing considering the director involvement with the transfer and his explanation of why it looks the way it does. Darkman, Cat People and They Live are the infamous ones for getting really ugly, dated studio masters with lots of DNR and not much detail. I think better versions don't exist, but seem very likely if anyone ever rescans them. Some of the other releases are also kinda bad in the master department and/or have compression errors, but I think they're all at least acceptable. IIRC these three are the ones that only the least picky among us won't notice. |
