Tony Dorsett was the Broncos RB and Herschel Walker was the Cowboys RB...

This is what I remember for offensive and defensive players:

NY Giants - RB OJ Anderson and LB Lawrence Taylor (the only player that could tackle anyone, including Bo!)

Denver - RB Tony Dorsett LB Karl Mecklenberg

Dallas - RB Hershel Walker Def DL Randy White

49ers - QB Montana, WR Rice, WR Taylor, RB Craig S Ronnie Lott

Miami - QB Marino, WR Duper, WR Clayton Def ?

Oakland - RB Bo Jackson (Unstoppable) Def Howie Long

NY Jets - RB Freeman McNeil Def Mark Gasteneau Def Joe Klecko

Seattle - WR Steve Largent LB Brian Bosworth S Kenny Easley

Bears - RB Walter Payton DL Richard Dent LB Mike Singletary

That's all I can remember....its been a while!

Are you sure that wasn't on Super Tecmo Bowl? I distinctly remember using Tony Dorsett with Dallas in the original.

Already pre-ordered with a second controller for £52.

It's weird there's Mega Man 2 but no Mega Man 1 which is what started it all.

It doesn't. This is intended to make it feel how it was back then playing with wired controllers, although it's true wireless ones existed but NES was wired.

The Mini NES controller has exactly the same CCP port as a Wii Classic Controller port so you can use it on Wiimotes. You can't actually connect it to the console itself though.

I don't find it weird at all. Mega Man 2 was the big seller & probably the most popular Capcom title back in the day.

Yeah I gots a Wiimote so itll kinda be interesting to use the classic pad "technically" wireless.

I REALLY hope Nintendo follows this up with an SNES version! That's the one I really want!

^ Yup that's what I see online. I don't have a Wii, but I wish the classic controllers were wireless.

Nope it was Tecmo Bowl, which was released in 1987 and I played it with my college buddies freshman year in 1988. Super Tecmo didn't come out until 1991, and we had moved on to Fantasy Football.

On the UK retailer GAME the controller is only £7.99 RRP. I've already done pre-ordered so won't pre-order another one.

Mega Man 1 was what started it all so it's odd to have the sequel there but not the predecessor. Still, it's just a game you defeat enemies without a story so no big deal.

I don't find the inclusion of Mega Man 2 over 1 odd at all, it's easily the more popular game and Capcom is much better at knowing what their audience wants than Nintendo so I trust they made the right choice here. It could have ended up being Street Fighter 2010 if Nintendo was calling all the shots.

Speaking of Street Fighter 2010, does anyone know where that game fits with the rest of the SF series?

I just remembered that there's the Everdrive NES which goes for $100+ (£80+) which you can store every NES rom in the SD Card but the Mini NES costs a lot less and it's an official product from Nintendo. I've thought about getting an N64 Everdrive but I wouldn't really play that many N64 games to begin with so it'd be kind of a waste.

Bandai never even made a Dragon Ball game for Nintendo 64.

I have Mario 64, Mario Kart 64, some rally game, F1 and others but I always end up going back to Mario Kart 64 in the end. Since I never liked the original N64 controller I bought this one which is a lot better, imo.

A shame they didn't include Duck Hunt. I never was the biggest gamer back in the day but this will be great for the casual gamer to play on a rainy or cold winters day. My original NES only lasted about 6 or 7 months before it died and we didn't have extended warranties back then to have it repaired or replaced, so I went without any gaming system for the longest time until I got a Playstation 2 & then went through about 3 PS3's while the current one is still working I may upgrade to a PS4 later on when 4K is added but then I will have to upgrade my tv also.

That actually makes sense. Duck Hunt required the NES Light Gun (well at least I think so, it would play like crap with a regular controller) - which wouldn't work with LCD/LED TVs. So they would have to bundle the Wiimote with it and a sensor bar etc.

Yes, but Mega Man 2 improved a lot on Mega Man 1. I think they should have put both of those games on it, but I guess Capcom going Capcom.

It's officially confirmed by Nintendo. And yes I will do so too. That's the perfect way to play NES games on Virtual Console.

I'd like to see a video analysis of Mega Man 2 VC vs. Mega Man 2 on PS4 vs. Mega Man 2 on this mini NES.

Hasn't been put up for pre-order yet on Amazon. They just have a placeholder page.

I would line up day one to buy this!!!

Good lineup, but what would really sell this would also be DKC 3, Mega Man X2, X3, but an even greater addition would be a commercial release of Star Fox 2.

Now THAT would sell!
