Not trying to give you a hard time, but when you respond with "America ain't the world!" or whatever it sounds like calling me out for jingoism when I'm just factually assessing Warner's market.

If they see profit in remastering those two movies then they will do so. Discs will be a massive factor there, because those movies are not popular on US TV and broadcasters wouldn't care. I doubt even Netflix US would care.
We shall just agree to differ.
My view is that any studio will want to remaster for HD any movies they own in perpetuity regardless of short term profitability specially a studio like Warner who rarely licence to others.
I think the existence of the Warner Archive shows just how much disc sales matter to Warner. That is - not a lot.

IIRC Warner have stated on more than one occasion and before the first volume of Hammer Horrors came out that restorations of both movies were a certainty although with no specified time frame and also dependant on available materials.

However, we digress.
I'm really excited about these Mill Creek doubles and another Warner 4some would be a fabulous addition too.
The Universal set and a few more Mill Creek doubles will almost clear up the major Hammer titles for me.

There's a fair few Studio Canal titles left that were not in the Australian sets but the quality of the ones that are left to release vary considerably from good ones like Sister Hyde to lesser ones like Demons of the Mind.

The recent Oz release of The Nanny was satisfactory though nothing to write home about but at least it's out

What's the likelihood of this being region free? I'm in the UK and I'd be very keen on seeing this on blu ray

Or buy a Region Free player at 220 Electronics. I recommend their LG models and you dont need a top of the line one either if you just want something to just play the movies

I'm only interested in the Frankenstein and Dracula series...

Is there any chance that a studio release two USA box-sets? (similarly to the Universal Classic Monsters sets)

I'm trying to figure out how to complete the series, but it's far from being easy! If a box-set is not possible (because of the distribution rights), I hope they all become available in Stand-Alone releases someday...

FRANKENSTEIN SERIES
The Curse of Frankenstein (1957) Not Yet Available
The Revenge of Frankenstein (1958) → The Revenge of Frankenstein/The Curse of the Mummy's Tomb
The Evil of Frankenstein (1964) → Hammer Horror 8-Film Collection
Frankenstein Created Woman (1967) → Stand-Alone
Frankenstein Must Be Destroyed (1969) → Stand-Alone | Hammer Horror Classics, Volume One
The Horror of Frankenstein (1970) Not Yet Available
Frankenstein and the Monster from Hell (1974) Not Yet Available

DRACULA SERIES
The Horror of Dracula (Dracula) (1958) Not Yet Available
The Brides of Dracula (1960) → Hammer Horror 8-Film Collection
Dracula: Prince of Darkness (1966) → Stand-Alone
Dracula Has Risen from the Grave (1968) → Stand-Alone | Hammer Horror Classics, Volume One
Taste the Blood of Dracula (1970) → Stand-Alone | Hammer Horror Classics, Volume One
Scars of Dracula (1970) Not Yet Available
Dracula A.D. 1972 (1972) Not Yet Available
The Satanic Rites of Dracula (1973) → Not Yet Available (Only SD in the "Ultimate Shockfest" release)
The Legend of the 7 Golden Vampires (1974) Not Yet Available

Curse of Frankenstein, Horror of Dracula, Dracula 1972 and Satanic Rites of Dracula are with Warner and are rumored to be on a Volume II set from them. The other ones with Warner already had a Volume, and while it might be possible they could repackage them, I wouldnt hold my breath

Frankenstein and the Monster from Hell is one of the titles Warner licensed from Paramounts library WB didnt show any interest in releasing it in HD along with other horror movies they have from Paramount.

Horror of Frankenstein and Scars of Dracula are with Studio Canal which would mean Lionsgate in the USA

A boxset with all the Hammer Dracula movies or all the Frankenstein movies would be a miracle of the type never seen before.
Unexpected collaborations have appeared but I don't think one on that scale which would require a joint effort from 3 or 4 different Hollywood majors is likely.
Be excellent though wouldn't it?

But I think we'd be happy if all the movies were actually available and we had to get them bit by bit like we did on dvd.

Someone asked the same question elsewhere and got a detailed response, I guess it wasn't this guy. Anyway, "Ultimate Shockfest" sure doesn't count as a release for Satanic Rites, it's a pan and scan SD thing smushed on a single disc with 25 other films!!

Oh thanks for the info. I was pretty much certain the quality was bad, but SD... I've added a "To be avoided" note on the side for it.

I think I'll try to track them down, all of them, and regroup both series in two multi-discs Blu-ray cases, with custom covers.

At this point I don't even want a Hammer bd collection of all their movies (if it were even possible). I have so many of their movies in HD scattered throughout too many labels it would be one helluva double dip.

So happy to see Revenge of Frankenstein on Blu-Ray. I always thought the DVD release looked very good and had the best PQ of all the standard def Hammer DVDs I own. Can't wait to see how it will look in HD.

Should be great, the old scan was HD but from 2001-02 era. The room for improvement is huge! Fingers crossed.

Best Buy has both of the Hammer Double Features for pre-order: $8.99 each

I needed something to get free shipping for another preorder I wanted, and found these for a great price and pulled the trigger, I was getting them anyhow but Amazon's currently at $14.99 each.

Free shipping on orders of $35 or more.

Amazon eventually matches Best Buy like 99% of the time.

You are correct, but for this instance I needed something to boost me up over the $35 threshold to get free shipping as I'm ordering the Charlie Chan and the Curse of the Dragon Queen bluray from them as Amazon still hasn't dropped their price from $29.95.

Haha! I was in the same predicament. I decided on the upcoming Universal Hammer 8-pack which is about $1 less than on Amazon, and streetdate only a week apart from the Mill Creeks.

Hammer-mania!
