Yeah..lots of films have HD masters but they arent on physical media yet..
Sometimes I just look on Amazon at some wishlist titles, and you can stream in title in HD for 3.99 Give me the bluray - physical media lives

It's... alright. Not a terrible film but not great, either. The first was undoubtedly the best, the second was an alright follow-up, the rest behind it were pure garbage. Definitely very gory films, so if you're into that sort of thing as a major selling point, that may justify a purchase... if it ever comes to blu.

Maybe it's been too long since i watched them, but i don't remember any of them being that gory. Which part are people continually referring to as gory?

Damnit. Lionsgate is sitting on way too many good titles right now that they'll probably never release. Lets hope their Chopping Mall release is a success so they can start releasing more catalog titles in the future.

I've only watched the first two. I can't remember anything too gory on the first one either, but the second had a very gory scene in a prison cell.

Did someone
[Show spoiler]go though the cell doors?
I think I remember that... The only scene that i remember clear as day and loving was when the inmate told the lawyer to go F--- himself. That scene alone is worth the purchase price.

Yeah first one was the best, I always loved the concept. Would be delighted if it got a scream release but it's definitely at the bottom of my wish list.

Yeah that's it, I remember the scene was pretty gory.
Can't remember that one with the lawyer but sounds terrific
In which part was that?

Everyone needs to buy Chopping Mall and Blood Diner. And waiting for them to hit dump bin prices won't help.

this has never made any sense to me because the most profitable stuff from lionsgate pre-hunger games was all horror material. cabin fever. the saw movies. haute tension. two rob zombie movies. they were focusing on producing horror and then it just seemed like after they made twilight it was like forget making horror movies. other than maybe one or two more saw sequels.

YES! i doubt there is someone at lionsgate like jeff or cliff at scream factory who is a vocal fan of the genre and wants to release some of these titles. if there was, we would have already have gotten some releases.

Very true.. this is a test run for Lionsgate, and they could also in fact, might have a couple of more horrors that they may test the waters with, BUT, we need to support these releases or LG wont bother with other catalog releases. This is the opportunity for both LG to provide quality releases of their titles and for the fans of their films to support ($$) them. That's the only way we will see the Warlock films, the Waxworks films, The Gate, Alligator 1 and 2 , The Manitou, The Hammer titles, Little Monsters, the Wishmaster films, Slaughter High and countless others on bluray.

Couldn't agree more. If these releases aren't supported, the odds are slim to none of them testing the waters again. I'm sure Chopping Mall and Blood Diner will both be reasonably priced come September too, so shell out the dough people!

Same here. Lol.

That visual is burned in my memory and is the only scene I can remember from any of the Wishmaster movies, in all honesty. I'd love to revisit the franchise on blu-ray though.

The Skulls via Shout Factory please Universal title not yet on bluray. Seems right down their alley.

Didn't LG just purchase Starz?
That tells me two things:

1) LG has pretty deep pockets
2) they need to start refilling those pockets

Maybe dipping into that extensive library will do just that.

These are two very genre specific films so I can see why it's costly if they do in fact plan on treating their titles like SCREAM somewhat with attention to transfer and extras.

I just learned this about LG (buying Starz/Anchor Bay) and, frankly, I'm more than a little intrigued. So here we have a studio that, essentially, and up to now, has ignored their back catalog despite evidence that such titles do fairly well in sales who all of a sudden decide to open their vaults once more (presumably to test the waters). Could there be a whole new mindset at the studio that finally favors unleashing their extensive library to Blu-ray? We shall see

Scratch American Werewolf of London off the guess list
