But are the 2008 BDs the same as the 2015 BDs?

From what I've read, I'm fairly certain they are. But I want to be 100% sure before I sell any duplicate discs.

All the discs are the same except for maybe the Craig movies, which have various releases. For example Casino Royale in the new set is a one-disc version of the old two-disc set that skips some of the features. Skyfall has only one disc or whatever. Stuff like that.

I am disappointed by the disc art though, it doesn't match the boxset.





The other stupid thing, Spectre has the option of Ultraviolet OR iTunes, but the boxset only has Ultraviolet. I guess I should redeem Spectre on UV to keep the collection together, but it sucks that I can't go the iTunes route on all 24 films.

Still, I get a really awesome deal

Amazon.ca has a new James Bond Collection listed for C$139.99, and it's coming out on September 20th, which is about a year after the first version. Perhaps this set includes Spectre with matching disc art? The Bond 50 set added Skyfall with matching disc art about a year later, too.

I already own the Bond 50. Any chance of this set's "exclusive" bonus becoming available on its own? I'm not buying all the movies again!

The Everything or Nothing documentary is the only real difference of worth as far as I know. Whether it's available on disc anywhere else I don't know, but it might be on iTunes or something. Could also check ebay and see if someone is selling just the bonus disc, which happens.

Blu-rays for Everyone sells the new bonus disc separately along with most other bonus discs. It's not cheap but here it is:

The new discs are pretty much the same except that they don't include textless title sequences that were included on some of the original Blu-ray releases... that's the only difference from the pre-Craig movie Blu-ray disc releases.

The 'Casino Royale' disc includes *some* of the features from the 2-disc "Collector's Edition," 'Quantum' has always been the exact same Blu-ray disc in all of its releases, and 'Skyfall' is also exactly the same disc as the previous releases.

As far as I know, it's locked to Region A. If anyone else knows for certain, chime in.

I set my player to region B and the bonus disc loads fine, so it should be region-free.

In my case the new set had better packaging and I sold the Bond 50 set for just as much as I spent. New bonus disc and digital codes were a nice cherry on top.

On September 20th, it looks like the UJBC and the JBC may start including Spectre with matching disc art.

Hmmm I just wonder about Never Say Never Again re-release... I just bought brand new OOP Blu-ray of Never Say Never Again at the grocery store since February. I own "James Bond Collection" set and sadly it didn't includes Never Say Never Again cause it "unofficial" James Bond film.
