Yes and no. Here is my non-technical response. If I'm wrong folks, please correct me:
The higher bitrate IS important, since it allows more information to be carried. But also important is the fact that it's lossless to begin with. Typically the lossy codecs are missing the range and depth, because something must be sacrificed for room. As a result you're not getting as much as you would with the lossless codec. |
