The other thing is, if I play a FPS on the PC with a mouse. It's normal. The stick on the controller is what makes me use inverted. If there was a trackball or a mouse I would play normal.

inverted...it is more natural. push the stick forward, and my head looks down. pull the stick back like i am leaning back and looking up.

Inverted... all the way... lol. Though on Uncharted I liked the camera regular and the gun inverted... I don't know why.

Inverted is the natural way. this about a single imaginary line going from where your thumb touches the stick. Now that line goes all the way thruh and keeps on going, now if you move the stick which way is the line going to go?

It's funny to me how they name them 'regular' and 'inverted' (sort of like 'goofy' and 'regular' footed on a skate or snowboard).

The regular connotation is based on a PC mouse thought process of moving the mouse up the screen, etc., but it is actually a 'learned' process of playing.

Inverted is actually a more natural process; however, because 'regular' is usually the default (based largely on up=up, etc.) people play it first and 'learn' to play that way.

Like 'goofy' and 'regular' you should see about a 15/85% split in the population, but the 'regular' in this example isn't the same as the 'regular' in video gaming, in fact, you would have to switch them around!

So much of whether someone is 'regular' or 'inverted' is based more on psychology at this point than actual natural reaction it's intriguing.

Exactly!

Which is why I find it funny how 'regular' is reversed in video gaming (comparing to stances on skates and snowboards).

Inverted is actually how the 'real' world works. The example of the Yoke in an airplane is just one of thousands you can find. Things are made for inverted in the real world because it is far more natural and common, but video gaming has created a 'learned' response to the word 'regular' that is interesting to say the least.

Always inverted when I play on the PC, but a controller feels different so I keep it regular.

Inverted for me. And some times it causing me trouble like the space ship mission in Ratchet, you can't inverted it... I had a real hard time to adjust myself!
