Eco-cases are a legitimate issue of concern.
Unlike fluff about artwork or slipcovers, eco-cases can negatively impact the disc itself and that makes this a real issue. I have seen discs in stores where there is a puncture through the case which, because the eco-case offers so little protection, makes the disc unbuyable. This happened when I found ONE copy of a movie I wanted...but I couldn't buy it because of a pucture through the back of the eco-case to the data side of the disc. If it had been in a proper case, it would not have been a problem. Paper is a mild abrasive. You polish chrome and clean windows with paper. I don't want paper in a position to contact that data side of a disc while it's bouncing around the postal system for a week. As I have said before, eco-cases aren't a problem for storage when I have the discs sitting on my shelf at home. I handle them carefully. However, when discs are being handled by other people and being sent through the mail, the plastic case is the primary source of protection for the disc. Eco-cases are not suitable protection for premium mail order products. |

I ordered 2 from TT's site directly, back when today's releases were put out for pre order.
Haven't received a shipping notice yet. Sunday night, on Facebook, they said they were already shipping certain titles. I know it's been said here before it was a very small operation, personnel-wise, so I'm taking that into consideration too. EDIT : Shipped ! Last edited by MikeZ.; 08-16-2016 at 06:06 PM. I think that it just depends on who Twilight Time uses as a case supplier.
Every now and then, I order 50 Viva Elite replacement cases from Casetopia so that I'll have them on hand whenever I need to replace eco-packs. I'm ambivalent about clear vs. blue cases, so I'll happily switch mine out if they arrive in eco-packs. |

TT were unaware of the eco cases. They said it's a mistake at the plant and they're looking into it.

Also, your "most wanted" list is fantastic. Just about every single film on your list is one I'd want on Blu-ray as well (I already have the region-free "Barton Fink"-UK and "Quiz Show"-AUS). |

IT’S A TWILIGHT TIME PACKAGE STEAL! Buy seven of any of the following Twilight Time titles for $70.00 and get a real deal. BELOVED INFIDEL, COVER GIRL, HIGH TIME, MINDWARP, PONY SOLDIER, THE DISAPPEARANCE, THE KREMLIN LETTER (DVD), THE ONLY GAME IN TOWN, THE RAINS OF RANCHIPUR, THE SONG OF BERNADETTE, THE SOUND AND THE FURY, THE WAYWARD BUS, VIOLENT SATURDAY (DVD), and WOMAN OBSESSED. This is a one-time “package price” of seven titles until they are gone. It’s okay to mix and match — just buy seven of one or one each of these titles. You must have a minimum of seven titles in your cart, but you can also create as many “packages” as you like, as long as you buy seven titles at a time. Final price will be adjusted at checkout. Package deal will go live Wednesday, August 17th at 4 PM Eastern.

Forgive my ignorance as I haven't looked through this thread for some time, but has it been stated definitely that Twilight Time is finished with Horror films? Candyman seems like a pretty large omission here in the states that would be another day one sell out. (Yes I have the Universal release from the UK). I enjoyed my semi annual Twilight time Horror purchases and all the hullaballoo that comes with them. With at least one very obvious title still left in the tank, I'm a bit surprised that there hasn't been anything from the Horror genre in a while. (Even with the understanding that Twilight Time isn't really interested in releasing horror films). They sell amazingly well and appear to help finance other titles, so it's a bit puzzling that there isn't at least one or two every so often.

I'd be willing to go in on a deal if we can find 1 or 2 more people to join us. I already own Bernadette, and the only other releases on that list that I am even remotely interested in are High Time, The Disappearance, and The Sound and the Fury. (Not sure that I want all three).

Even though I don't want any of those movies what a great deal! Nice to know a few deals out of nowhere can show up before the usual sales.
As for the uneven shipping issues some are having maybe TT and SAE should just push back their release dates by a week or two, package up every order in that time frame, then send them all out at the same time. |

My solo order for HARDCORE from TT just shipped out yesterday (the order was placed on July 27th).
In the meantime, my order for three TT titles from SAE just shipped out today (that order was also placed on July 27th). These are small companies, so the "pattern" of shipments isn't always logical or predictable. |
