Please be true
Hope we get the NX a lot sooner than September 2017. I was still hoping for an early 2017 launch. September is to close to Scorpio and all the Fall games. That would surely hurt my wallet

Plus I really want to play Zelda already.

It's a poorly strung together sentence, they're saying the nx is out next year and that in September there will be a new pokemon game.

Some interesting comments from a Foxconn employee back in junew where he revealed the PS4 slim and that the Neo weighs about 10lbs.

He also mentioned a psp like device was in production. Most people assumed it was playstation related but it seems just a bad translation. Seems that it was likely the NX he was referring too.

So if it's PSP like I'm guessing just one screen is pretty much a certainty. Hopefully it's about the size of a psp/vita even a little bit bigger would be perfect.

The original One is 7.8 pounds for comparison. Wow.

Damn it Nintendo just announce SOMETHING already. All this endless speculation getting our hopes up then crushed back and forth is killing me. I need to know if this is something I should be saving money for now before I go and spend it all on PSVR. If they don't reveal something in September then you can bet your ass it gets delayed at least until next summer.

They've said on several occasions (even as recent as two weeks ago) that it's coming in March. That has not changed. 99% guarantee we'll get an event after the SONY conference to put your mind at ease.

Pretty sure the consensus is that Nintendo is going to unveil NX around Tokyo Game Show which is Sep 15th - 18th.

Looks like it just leaked...

Not really but this seems to be what Nintendo are intending it to be.

Ugh!

If Microsoft were to design a handheld Xbox, that's what it would look like.

I'm really hoping this will be Nintendo to the rest of the world when the NX is unveiled.

Haha, so ****ing true. Although perhaps more MS of the past. Their hardware division has released some really great stuff lately (most notibly the Surface).

Yikes. That thing looks barely more "portable" than the Virtual Boy. If the handheld aspect is that big I'm having a hard time seeing it being successful.

I seriously doubt it would be that bulky.

I would expect the NX to be about the same size as the current Nvidia shield with an additional 3"-4" for the buttons.

There is just too much going on with the NX and Nvidia'a shield tablet team to not make one think the NX is basically the Shield 2.0 X2 prototype (plus whatever tweaks that Nintendo wanted) that Nvidia was working on then pulled due to other business decisions.

Interesting report http://letsplayvideogames.com/2016/0...orce-feedback/

Quote:
In the past few days, Let’s Play Video Games has learned that not only was the Eurogamer report accurate, but the detachable NX controllers will support basic motion control, similar in fidelity to the Wii Remote Plus, and a form of “advanced vibration force feedback”.

LPVG has learned that these controllers are designed to phase out the Wii Remote over time, featuring much of their same functionality. Players with existing Wii Remotes will be able to use them for some multi player titles, but not all releases.

The force feedback functionality of the controller has been described by one source as “very similar to the Vive controller, in that it alters intensity, pulsing patterns and duration of vibration to mimic the sensation of a range of different movement types. It’s not just one vibration for all situations, there’s a notable difference between the hard abrupt feedback of a sword clash or the softer, longer thud of something like hitting a tennis ball.”
One of the titles which will support both the new NX detachable motion controllers and Wii Remotes for multiplayer is Just Dance 2017.
