I can't disagree with anything that is being said on here so far. I'm thinking either next month or December for Home, although I wish that we had at least a month to look forward to home, if not an actual release date. Seems to me that Sony wants more feedback and testing put into Home.

I never heard of an offical November release date. It has been confirmed by Sony that Home will be out before this year is over, although I would have to hunt for the article that says this.

Hmm I hope all this wait is worth our while. I mean if Home turns out to be just some IRC experience, I'll be disappointed. So for now let us continue waiting and seeing.

No date has ever been official.
But they have given us the idea of when it was to be released. I remember hearing they were going to release this last year and then decided to wait a whole year, and they said fall, and now it looks like late fall, early winter...
I am not sure they ever said November, but it stuck in my mind for some reason.
Either way it seems that they are leaning toward getting it out in November or December.
I am not making up delays, I am just saying that it seems like forever since this game was announced, ADVERTISED, and detailed, and yet has still never seen the light of day.
Well I hope what they say is true this time, cause the PS3 could really use this right now.

As long as people make up or rely on retailer release dates I'll keep saying it.

I think that the wait will definatly be worth it. If you look at a video on youtube of the beta, I don't know how you can't be drawn to it. From what I have read, we'll download Home from the playstation store, unless it's included in a firmware update. You can do as you wish in Home. The only thing that I'm wondering about is can you use some kind of transportation to get around?

But you are right, there is no and never has been an official date.

I keep thinking that Sony will tell us something new about Home, but that hasn't happened yet. I don't think that Home will be all hyped up because the beta isn't all hyped up. It didn't look like a disappointment at all.

Well the beta has had some hype. They had the theme contest on the PSN store not long ago, where anyone that downloaded the Home theme got entered into the drawing to get in the Beta. Well I didn't get in, but that is alright.
I remember the ads from earlier this year, maybe even from last year, that had clips from Home in the commercials for the PS3 and yet, we are still waiting for it to come out. You'd think they wouldn't advertise something that is not available yet, but they seemed to be so sure it was coming out soon that I got the impression they were almost done with it.

I am still looking forward to it, I think we should find as many forum members as we can and meet on there sometime after the launch. I would love to see some of you guys there.

People assumed the november release date because MS new XBE is coming on the 19th of that month. so everybody is saying ( including me) they MUST get home out before, or on that date. if they dont it will be an embarrassment.

I'd like to meet some of the playstation 3 owners on home. I think that if we were all on Home, we'd feel proud to be a part of it. I have a friend of mine that I plan to see on Home. He wants to see me on Home as well.

It'd be nice if the open beta came out asap. As long as it's stable, that is. I'd rather something stable and relatively lacking in features now than wait for everything to be done. Having something ready now wouldn't be very useful if it wasn't stable, though.

Stability is usually the first thing then they scale the servers so they can handle the load they expect. I expect a large percentage of PSN-active PS3s to at least try out Home at first, and Sony would have a good handle on that number...

Well NXE and Home is different. NXE is a Firwmare update of the 360. It's the entire OS. Home is a Community Software that is not require to run the PS3
