As an incentive for last-minute dawdlers who do not yet have this title in their collection, the price is reduced to $14.95 at http://www.twilighttimemovies.com - now you have no excuses! Don't delay as it's gone in only 18 days!

FYI, I just received my copy from SAE yesterday, and I believe they still have copies in stock, so you can order from them as well.

Kino has actually been involved in some remastering on a select few titles they've released.

Most likely the rights are reverting to the production company.

When Criterion, Arrow or Shout give a movie a new scan that is top-tier, IMO. Most of my TT titles look like standard MGM catalog dump transfers.
I usually wait a bit to see if another label around the world announces the MGM ones but the Fox and Sony ones are almost always from 4K restos.

I wonder if TT would ever release the movie White Nights with Gregory Hines and Mikhail Baryshnikov.

Just curious, what do you do with two copies of a movie? Do you scalp one of them or just...have it to have it?

And assuming you arrange your movies on some kind of a shelf, do the duplicates go right next to it, or some special place?

I only dupe my Harryhausens. I watch them so much I'm afraid I might wear one out or accidentally wreck it. I'll have a spare just in case. I would never sell one. I keep them in a separate area stored away, out of sight. One other thing, you never know if they'd ever go out of print for good. Call me paranoid but I love my RH movies so much I couldn't risk not having one.

I sometimes buy two copies of Blu-rays or DVDs that are favorite films of mine. One copy goes to my house, and the other goes to my storeroom in another city.

To keep this on topic, I bought two copies of TT's HARDCORE.

Luckily I have the Sony German release that used the same master, and I can live without the commentary. I am trying to hold off on Demetrius and Khartoum until the next sale. If they get really low, I will just order the two, but I'll wait and see.

I just used the cart trick, and it showed 12 copies left. At any rate, I went ahead and ordered one -- along with American Buffalo, Demetrius and the Gladiators, and The Mechanic -- so I suppose there are now either 11 copies or 1.

Well after seeing the American Buffalo going out of print thing (and being 14.95) I went ahead and got that and Judgment at Nuremberg.

Still hard to believe. That was a big hit back in the day. The only thing I can think of is everyone who wanted it bought the DVD and didn't feel the need to upgrade.

I agree, most people are perfectly happy with DVD.

How does the trick work these days?

Also i'm sure it was mentioned in this topic somewhere but why are some movies on the TT website and some only on SA site?

I see Judgement on SA but not on TT

Place a title in your cart. Change the quantity to, say, 100. It'll change it to however many copies are available. It apparently only works if the available copies is below 100 or below 50; I can't recall which.

For the first few years, TT did not have their own website, and their titles were available only (kinda sorta somewhat) from SAE. It was about a year ago that Twilight Time started up their own website and offering titles directly from them.

So, for titles that were released before TT started their own site, all copies were shipped to SAE. Titles released in the last year were divided between TT and SAE. And, of course, some of those later titles have sold out at one site, but not at the other.

By the way, according to TT's Facebook page, Crimes and Misdemeanors is also now sold out.

I also suspect a lot of people who might have bought the Blu-ray had no idea it was available, since you wouldn't see it in stores or on Amazon.
